Rebels right back where they want to be There was always the worry that a month of inactivity would play its part. But just like the two Tipp games back at the start of the year, three first quarter goals provided a savage boost and renewal of confidence and when Brian Hayes finished off his second and a rebel fourth, setting up a lead standing at 4-11 to 1-11 to 31 minutes, there is no doubt the Rebels were in a commanding place and playing a dominant role in the first of the All-Ireland Senior hurling semi-finals before a full house at GAA headquarters on Saturday evening last. It was 4-13 to 1-12 at the break and whatever remote Dublin chances prevailed were ruthlessly swept aside in the opening exchanges of the turnover.
