Well done to our Minor Team and their management who have qualified for a County final after they defeated Glen Rovers in a tight contest in Church Road on Wednesday 2nd Sept. Glen Rovers led by 2 points at half time on a scoreline of 0-11 to 0-09. With both teams exchanging scores throughout the second half it was hard to call it as nothing could seperate the teams. Coming into the last few minutes Midleton held their composure and defended very well and at the final whistle came away winners on a scoreline of 0-17 to 0-15. Well done to all involved. They will now play Blackrock in the final. Details tbc

Fé 11
Midleton v Éire Óg Park South, Saturday 29th August
Midleton U11 Boys played Éire Óg in challenging weather conditions on Saturday morning. Despite the testing elements, the young Midleton players showed great determination and enthusiasm throughout the morning.
The teams played two ten-a-side matches, with Midleton displaying plenty of skill, teamwork and commitment from start to finish. The boys worked hard in all areas of the pitch, supporting each other well and moving the ball effectively. Their efforts were rewarded with some excellent scores, showcasing the progress they have made in training.
The difficult conditions did little to dampen the players' spirits, and both matches were played in a competitive and sporting manner. Midleton's work rate and positive attitude were evident throughout, with every player making a valuable contribution to the team's performance.
Overall, it was a very encouraging outing for the Midleton U11 Boys, who can be extremely satisfied with their efforts and achievements on the day. Well done to all involved.

Camogie
Barry O' Sullivan Championship
Midleton 1-09 Courcey Rovers 1-08
The Adult teams kicked off a busy week with the first of 2 Championship matches in Park South on Monday 24th August . This was a very competitive match from start to finish and the Midleton girls showed huge skill and determination to come out on top by the bare minimum. Aoise Woods, Gabby Smith and Amy O'Connell were all on the scoresheet in the first half to see us into a HT lead of 0-05 to 1-0. Caoimhe Cronin was solid at fullback, with Leah Griffin masterful at centre back and Saoirse Cashman hugely energetic in Midfield and our forwards saw plenty of the ball. After HT Amy O'Connell thundered into the game when moved to the wing and when Aoise Woods scored our goal we had a 4 point lead. In fairness to Corceys they never gave up and got back to within a point. But our girls defended magnificently, with Ciara Hynes rock solid in goals, to close out winners by the narrowest of margins. This was a great start for our "2nd string " and there will be plenty more to come from this group .Next game is in Ballinora on Monday Sept 7th.
Team: Ciara Hynes Jaimey Healy, Caoimhe Cronin (Capt), Emma Fitzgerald, Rebecca Ryan, Leah Griffin, Olivia McGrath, Saoirse Cashman, Niamh Murphy, Gabby Smith , Sarah McConville, Aoise Woods, Cara Foley, Tia Wallace, Amy O'Connell, Eve Fahy, Margaret Spellman

Premier Junior Championship
Midleton 1-15 Youghal 0-08
The 2nd game of the week for our Adult Ladies was the 2nd Round of the Premier Junior Championship in Midleton V Youghal on Wednesday 26th August in Clonmult. This was an excellent performance by the girls and played some great Camogie all over the pitch to run out decisive winners . Midleton got off to a great start with points from Sadhbh Beausang, Rachel Ryan and Sarah Goulding from play. Faye Dunlea added a couple of frees and when a Lucy Wallace long range delivery found its way to the net Midleton were 1-06 to 2 points clear. By half time with further points from Sadhbh and Sarah Midleton were 1-10 to 0-05 clear.
The early part of the 2nd half continued as first finished with Sadhbh Beausang a constant threat and even though we slackened off a bit we were never really in any real trouble . Sorcha Cronin was outstanding in the full back line ably assisted by Kate Saunderson and Ciara McGrath. Julie Murphy was superb in the half back line with Rebecca Cronin also very prominent. Vivienne Gleeson , Lucy Murphy and Faye Dunlea worked their socks off in the half forward line , and Sadhbh and Sarah never stopped tormenting the Youghal fullback line. A very good all round performance . Next up is Castlelyons in Clonmult on Friday Sept 4th .
