Senior, Intermediate and Junior Hurling Championship 2026
Wishing our Adult Hurling teams the very best of luck as they begin their Championship campaigns for 2026 this weekend. First up is our Senior team who are playing St Finbarrs in Pairc Uí Rinn at 7.15pm on Friday evening. Our Intermediates travel to Castlelyons to play Mallow on Saturday evening at 6.30pm and on Sunday at 12 o clock our Junior A team will play Carrig na bhFear in Caherlag. Please show your support for all our teams.

PIHC Double Header in Clonmult Memorial Park Sunday Aug 2nd
This Sunday Midleton GAA are hosting two PIHC games. First up take to the pitch at 5.15pm is clash of Castlemartyr and Lisgoold. Next up at 7.15pm is Dungourney and Cloyne. Best of luck to all teams involved. Please note that parking will be limited on the Club grounds so come early.
Junior A Football Championship Round 1: Match Report – Midleton 2-16 V Lisgoold 3-07 23/07/26
Midleton produced a strong all-round display to overcome Lisgoold on a scoreline of 2-16 to 3-07, with a powerful attacking performance and disciplined defending proving the difference.
Our footballing Magpies laid the foundations for victory with goals from Tadhg Bohan and Cian Lambe while Evan McGrath was outstanding in attack, contributing 0-04, including an excellent two-point score. Midleton's forward unit carried a constant threat throughout, with Sean McSharry adding 0-03 after coming on at half time, and further contributions coming from Darragh Egan (0-02), Mark Daly (0-01), Calum O’Brien (0-01) and Bríon Saunderson (0-01).
Although Lisgoold struck for three goals, Midleton's consistency in front of the posts ensured they remained in control for much of the contest. The defence, led by Eoghan Collins, Cian Crowley, Adam Fay, Darragh Codd and Arron Mulcahy, worked tirelessly to limit Lisgoold's scoring opportunities, while the midfield partnership of Bríon Saunderson and Tadhg O'Leary Hayes were outstanding.
The win was a testament to the strength of the entire panel.

Junior C Football Championship Round 1: Match Report – Midleton 2-06 V Castlemartyr 1-13
Our Junior C footballers put in a committed performance at Clonmult Memorial Park, with a number of players making important contributions throughout an entertaining championship encounter. The Magpies showed great determination and work rate from the opening whistle, competing fiercely across the field and never giving their opponents an easy score.
Midleton's attack was led by Odhran Dennigan, who finished with an impressive 1-1, while Jack Fitzgerald also found the net for a valuable goal. Further scores came from Ben O'Neill, Colin Dowling, Adrian O'Donovan and substitute Daniel Garde, each contributing a point as Midleton worked hard to keep the scoreboard moving.
At the back, goalkeeper Odhran Rabbitte provided a reliable last line of defence, with Brendan Ferritter, Aidan Ryan, Noah Cahill, Colin Sunderland, Alan Power and Brian O'Sullivan working tirelessly to limit scoring opportunities. In midfield, Padraig O'Brien and Niall Lange covered plenty of ground and helped drive Midleton forward throughout the contest.

While the result may not have gone Midleton's way, the squad displayed plenty of effort, commitment and character. With a blend of experienced players and emerging talent, there were many positives to take forward as the team continues its Junior C Championship campaign.

We were delighted to welcome All Ireland & Munster winning minor footballer Riain McCormack & manger of the team Keith Rickin to our Monday Club gathering. Riain is a Midleton player so he got a fantastic welcome from all there! Congratulations & well done to the Cork Minors & their management team!

We had our second P1 championship match against Glen Rovers on Thursday. After our defeat in our first outing against Ballincollig this made this fixture a do or die affair. After a steady start our opponents had a purple patch midway through the first half giving them a cushion. In fairness to the lads they never gave up and finished strongly to gain a fantastic victory. Well done lads. Another vital game against Blarney on bank holiday Monday.
We also had our second P2 football championship match in Youghal on Monday. We fell to an unfortunate 4 point defeat here. This, while disappointing, was a big improvement in performance on our last outing against this opponent. We are still in the mix in this very competitive grade.
On Tuesday we travelled west to Clonakilty for our Div 4 league fixture. This was a tremendous battle with our lads preforming admirably throughout. We got the major boost for this outfit from a very well deserved football victory deep in West Cork. Great stuff lads and a big thank you to the players, parents and mentors for making the long trip.

GAA Youth Forums
This year see’s the GAA Youth Forums take to the road, landing firstly at The Dome, Semple Stadium, Thurles on Sept 6th and Bush Hotel Carrick on Shannon on Sept 27th from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
The National GAA Youth Committee are extending an invitation to young people aged 12 – 21 years to attend a Regional GAA Youth Forum. The forum is open to all Gaelic games members from the GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association. The day will include a mix of chat, debate, discussion and craic! Led by the National GAA Youth committee, those in attendance will be encouraged to share their opinions and experiences of Gaelic games, both on and off the pitch.For all those who attend a regional Youth Forum, there will be a chance to come to Croke Park in November for GAA Youth Congress where the recommendations discussed at the regional youth forums will be further debated and decided upon. This process will support the National GAA Youth Committee in their actions and reporting to GAA Congress.
