Youghal produced an outstanding turnaround at Killeagh, trailing by five at the interval before an extraordinary second-half blitz brought them six goals and the win.
Cloyne were well worth their 1-9 to 1-4 half-time lead, two scores from beyond the arc – one apiece from Adam Sherlock and Ashley Walsh – put them in control at the break. Their goal came from the penalty spot on 20 minutes after Sean Lane was black-carded, though Youghal's response was immediate, Enda Cronin finding the net straight from the resulting kickout a minute later.
Back to 15 men for the restart, Youghal took flight. Brian Lynch, on at the break, landed a two-pointer with his first kick to set the tone. Jamie Lenane struck after 38 minutes to cut the gap to one and added his second eight minutes later to put Youghal four clear. Conor Galvin raised a green flag after 46 minutes, Nigel Roche another with 57 on the clock, and Galvin finished it with the last kick of the game, raising another green flag.

An incredible victory for St Catherine’s at Castlelyons, as they brought down reigning champions Carraig na bhFear to get their JAFC campaign off to the perfect start.
Catherine’s were well in control in the opening half, Eoghan O'Riordan excellent in midfield, and led 0-5 to 0-2 at the end of the first quarter. Carraig na bhFear had trimmed it to 0-6 to 0-4 when the key score of the half arrived, O'Riordan and Eoin Condon combining before Evan O'Driscoll forced the ball over the line for their first major after 27 minutes, and they retired with a 1-7 to 0-5 lead at the interval.
Cormac Hill helped bring the deficit back to three before the Saints struck again, O'Riordan involved once more and a slight touch from Brian Davis sending O'Driscoll through to crash in his second. Condon added a third goal in a breakaway attack and then turned provider for replacement Ciaran Pietropaolo. Colm Murphy's late penalty goal was a case of too little, too late for Carraig.

Carrigtwohill got their campaign off to a strong start at a brilliant Ballinacurra venue in a goalless contest settled by the scoring of former Cork U20 hurler Daniel Murnane, who finished with seven points, among them a two-point free and a two-pointer from play.
Aghada began the contest with the wind advantage, John Walsh, Eoin and James Motherway all getting in on the scoring early, but Carrigtwohill quickly wrestled control and would lead 0-12 to 0-5 at the break.
Carrig started the second half well, but Aghada continued to show fight and picked off some impressive scores with the best of the bunch from James Hurley, who thundered over a brilliant two-pointer from play.
They would eventually bring the deficit down to one – 0-13 to 0-12 – but Carrig closed it out near the finish.
Mark O'Connor weighed in with four from Carrigtwohill, as they finished five-point winners at the end.

Dungourney made light work of Erin’s Own in Castlemartyr, powering ahead early with a ruthless run to lead 1-9 to 0-1 at the break and leave no doubt as to who would come away with the result.
Ronan Blackton had opened the game's account for Erin's Own inside three minutes but they would not score again until the 43rd minute. Dungourney picked them off steadily, the goal arriving on eleven minutes when Ciaran Flynn was on the end of a sweeping move to fist to the net, and Cathal Murphy's two-pointer after 22 minutes stretched it further.
The second half was a much closer contest, Erin's Own edging the exchanges from play as Tom O'Riordan converted two frees and a two-point free.
Charlie Howard marked his introduction with a fine solo point and Niall Flynn landed two from play late on. Brian Ahearne made a couple of crucial saves across the hour for the winners, while Sean Kelly, John Mulcahy and Kieran Murphy were best for the home side.

Castlemartyr's goals proved the difference at Shanagarry, three green flags enough to see off Fr O'Neill's by two points.
Jack McGann was the key man, finishing with 1-4 that included a penalty, two 45s and a free, while Mike Kelly and Darragh Cashman supplied the other goals. Andrew Kelly's two-pointer and a brace from Billy McGann completed a well-shared return.
