Junior 3s Make Winning Start in Pilmore

Glenville’s Junior 3 side opened their campaign with a well-earned 2-8 to 0-8 victory over Glenbower Rovers GAA in challenging conditions at Pilmore GAA Grounds.
Playing against a strong wind in spells, Glenville made excellent use of their chances in the opening half, with two well-taken goals helping them to a 2-3 to 0-6 advantage at the break. Despite the difficult conditions, the pitch was in superb condition and allowed both sides to play positive football throughout.
Glenbower battled hard on the restart, but Glenville’s defence stood firm and the team added crucial points in the second half to secure a deserved six-point win.
It was a particularly proud occasion for the club as six players made their adult football debuts, marking an important milestone for both the players and Glenville GAA. Their contribution, alongside the experience around them, ensured a strong and disciplined team performance.
An encouraging start for the Junior 3s, with plenty to build on in the weeks ahead.

Impressive U21A Display from Glenville

Glenville’s U21A side delivered a superb performance on home soil, recording a comprehensive 4-16 to 0-4 victory over Aghada.
From the opening throw-in, Glenville set the tempo with sharp movement, accurate shooting and an impressive work rate throughout the field. The forwards were clinical in front of goal, while the defence worked tirelessly to limit Aghada’s opportunities.
Scores were shared across the team, reflecting a strong collective effort and encouraging depth within the panel. The intensity and cohesion shown across the pitch will no doubt please management as the campaign continues.
It was a confident and composed display from Glenville, who will look to build further momentum in the weeks ahead.
