Midleton’s U21-A footballers delivered a strong all-round performance in their second-round East Cork League clash against St Colmcilles on the Park South 3G last Saturday. Despite their efforts, they were narrowly defeated, 1-14 to 2-15. The squad continues to improve with each outing, with many players expected to feature at Junior level later this year. Notable attacking displays came from Sean McSaharry (four 2‑pointers), Cian Stack, Odhran Dennigan, James McSweeney, and Kieran O’Brien. Defensively, Peadar Egan, TOLH, and Cian Lamb were outstanding as were Josh Foley and Aleks Howard in goals.
Their next game is Sunday, Feb 8th vs Aghada.

Midleton Scorers:

Sean McSharry: 1-10 points (1-02 & 4x2pts), Senan Carroll 0–03, Kieran O’Brien 0-01

U21-C Midleton Vs Bride Rovers 30/01/2026

Midleton’s U21‑C footballers played out an exciting draw against Bride Rovers last Friday on the Park South 3G. The game had plenty of quality, with strong defending, sharp forwards, and impressive skill on show. Despite trailing by several goals midway through the second half, Midleton battled back superbly and were unlucky not to claim the win in the end.
Midfielders Senan Carroll and Odhran Rabbitte were hugely influential, while Bradley O’Brien caused problems throughout and scored an excellent goal. Eoin Ahern, Sean Gregory, Noah Cahill, and Ruairi O’Riordan all made important contributions. Jack Sweeney impressed in goal, with Rory Nolan and Jamie O’Donovan showing continued improvement with every game.
