So here we are with the January blues almost behind us and matches to look forward to in all codes and all grades and ages. It won’t be long now …. Training has recommenced or is about to for all teams. We remind all our members that January is Membership Renewal month. Many of you have already registered and paid on foireann.ie and we thank you very much for doing so in a timely manner. We ask all members, but most especially all players, to register ASAP on foireann.ie and to avail of one of the many different payment options – pay in full, pay in instalments, or pay by cash / cheque to your team mentor or club officer. AN LOTTO – AR MHAITH LEAT €20,000??

You know by now that our Weekly Lotto has reached its maximum amount of €20,000. Get in – online or in shops – by 7.30 p.m. every TUESDAY, and who knows, it could be you! If you’re not in, you can’t …. 

We remind all our regular Lotto players that you can still avail of a special offer for a Yearly ticket for 2026. For the price of just 40 draws (€80), you can be included in the remaining 49 draws in 2026 (that’s 9 free draws) if you buy a Yearly Lotto ticket on foireann.ie (club members only) or if you put €80 (cash or cheque) into a Lotto envelope at Centra or one of our other Lotto box locations in the parish. You can also avail of a yearly Lotto ticket (52 draws) which starts at any time via the online portal smartlotto.ie/killeagh-gaa/ for the special offer price of €90 (7 free draws).


HEALTHY CLUBS UPDATE - GET WALKING!

Our Annual Healthy Clubs campaign to encourage people to get walking has been up and running since the beginning of January and will continue until Wednesday February 11th. Every MONDAY and WEDNESDAY evening the floodlights will be on in Páirc Uí Chinnéide from 6.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m., so come on down for a stroll, brisk walk, jog or workout! Bring all the family or come by yourself, you’re bound to meet someone for a chat!


2026 CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS – PART 2

Having outlined the County Board’s magnificent master plan in our final nótaí of 2025, it’s now time to turn our attention to the East Cork Board fixtures and plans for 2026. Matches begin next weekend with the throw-in of the new U21 Football Development League, although we are sitting this one out. We will have two adult teams in the East Cork Junior Football Leagues (Divisions 2 and 3) and two in the East Cork Hurling Leagues (Divisions 2 and 4). Our opening Division 2 Junior football fixture will be on the first weekend of March, while our Division 3 football team will get their campaign under way on the weekend of February 15th. Our two hurling teams will begin their campaigns on the weekend of March 8th. East Cork League Finals will be played between the last week of May and the end of June.


East Cork Junior Football Championships will commence from the weekend of July 26th while the East Cork Hurling Championships will commence from August 2nd. We are one of 8 teams in Junior B football championship (likely to be split into two groups of 4) while we are one of 6 in the Junior C football championship (likely to be split into two group of 3). There are 12 teams in the Junior A Hurling Championship, 12 in Junior B and 12 in Junior C. We will have a team in each grade, with the format likely to be similar to the Cork County Championships (best two to semi-finals, 3rd to 6th into quarter-finals). The Under 21 Championships will start from the weekend of September 20th
