BRIDE ROVERS GAA CLUB NOTES.
GREAT AGM, u21 FINAL ON SUNDAY.
On Monday night last the Club AGM took place-next Monday night it’s the Juvenile Annual Meeting. On Sunday next we play the East Cork Under 21 A Hurling Final. The Lotto Jackpot of €18,000 was not won last week. Next Saturday everyone in the Rovers Club will be shouting ‘Come on Amsterdam’ in Pearse Park, Longford! Late News , Great News; Just heard that Cillian Tobin is the 96FM/103 Sports Star of the Month for October.
EAST CORK UNDER 21 FINAL. For the second year in a row we meet Midleton in the under East Cork 21 A Grade hurling championship Final on Sunday next. Last year when we met the Magpies in Castlelyons both the East Cork and County Titles were on offer as Midleton had been nominated to represent Imokilly in the County. Well we meet again on Sunday next at 2 o clock in the Fr O Neill’s pitch at Aghavine, Ballymacoda. Both teams have had just a semi final game to contest so far with Midleton beating Carrigtwohill in a high scoring game. We pipped Erins Own by a point in our semi final in Castlelyons. Last year Midleton defeated us by seven points in the Final. Hopefully by Sunday our injury problems will have cleared up. Midleton are always tough opponents so we can expect a huge challenge. Go for it lads and for supporters who might not have been to Aghavine before the simplest way is ;into Ladysbrdge and turn left over the bridge and straight on until you see the pitch signposted to the left at a cross of four roads. When we met Midleton in last years Final we lined out as follows; 1.Ronan O Riordan, 2.Ciaran Cotter, 3.Denis Cashman, 4.Eldon O Connor, 5.David Barry, 6.Cormac O Sullivan, 7.Liam Collins, 8.Cormac Barry, 9.Ronan O Connell, 10.Cillian Barry, 11.Edmond Cashman, 12.Adam Walsh, 13.Josh Ahern, 14.Louis Roche, 15.Cillian Tobin.; Subs; C O Sullivan, Ben Knox, Adam Hynes, Ryan O Callaghan.
AGM SUMMARY _(Full Report Next Week)
Close on 70 club members gathered for the club AGM last Monday night, with the club's historic SAHC win and our reaching the JAHC final in East Cork the Central talking points of our sporting year. Outgoing Chairperson Pa O'Driscoll addressed the group after a comprehensive report on all club activities by Runaí Rosario Kielty and a financial report by outgoing Treasurer Aiden Dorgan. Correspondence was read from Fr. Seanie Barry who sent his congratulations from Nairobi Kenya, before club president Pat O'Connor oversaw the election of officers for 2026.
Thank you to all who contributed reports to highlight the incredible level of work being done to support our players from U6 to senior. The array of the reports showed the impact the club has on the community off the playing field also, with the Healthy Club and the contribution of members to the monthly Car Boot Sales noted during the meeting. More comprehensive reports will be available next week.

UNDER10’s WIND UP FOR 2025.
The Under10 boys had their final training session of the season on Saturday last after a very good season. We travelled near and far throughout the season. They took part in Tournaments and Blitzes in several Counties. Amongst the venues where the young Green, White and Golders played were Ballyduf Upper (Waterford), Clonmel twice, Kllenaule, Moycarkey-Borris (Co. Tipperary), Na Piarsaigh (Limerick) and Celbridge (Co Kildare) The boys put in some mighty performances and continue to improve through their hard work since last January. The boys were visited on Saturday morning by our Senior players and Joint Captains Conlieth Ryan and Cian Hogan with the cherished Jim Forbes Cup. After an enjoyable last session the boys were treated to hot food in the Portacabin. A special thanks to the players and parents for their continued commitment. The organised training sessions have ended for this season but all the boys will still have the hurley and sliotar in hand at home practising and improving their skills .Rovers Abu
