Glenville GAA – Bereavement Notice

All in Glenville GAA are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jim Ryan, son of the late Eamon and Pat Ryan.

Jim represented Glenville with distinction at both underage and adult level, winning Minor and U21 Championships with the club before later moving to Wexford. He is fondly remembered by all who played alongside him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Jennifer, sons Richard and Barry, his mother Pat, his brothers, sisters, and the extended Ryan family at this difficult time.

May Jim rest in peace.

Next week’s jackpot will be €10,100.
The next draw takes place on Friday, 21st November in Kades Kounty.

The club extends its thanks to everyone who continues to support the weekly lotto.

Glenville GAA – Annual General Meeting

Glenville GAA will hold its Annual General Meeting on Sunday, 30th November at 8pm in the Holy Family Centre.

All club members are warmly invited to attend. The AGM provides an important opportunity to review the past year, reflect on the work across all sections of the club, and look ahead to plans for 2026. Member participation and input are greatly valued, and we encourage as many as possible to come along and be part of the discussion.

Glenville GAA – Dads & Lads

Our Dads & Lads group continued their busy schedule recently with another well-attended evening of football in Glenville. The numbers have been growing steadily each week, and the mix of newcomers and regulars has brought great energy to the sessions.

The emphasis remains firmly on fun, participation and a relaxed, social approach to the game. Whether it’s players returning after years away or lads picking up a football for the first time, everyone is made welcome and there’s always plenty of laughs along the way.

Sessions take place weekly, and new members are encouraged to come along and get involved. No experience is needed — just a pair of boots and a willingness to give it a go.

Anyone interested can contact John on 085 710 2290 or come along on the night.

Glenville GAA – Re-Turn Bins Reminder

Glenville GAA would like to thank everyone who continues to support our Juvenile Section through the orange Re-Turn bins. This has become an important fundraiser for the club, and we are very grateful for the ongoing help.

However, we would ask all supporters to please ensure that bottles and cans placed in the Re-Turn bins are fully emptied. On a number of occasions, bags have been filled with liquid, causing damage to a volunteer’s car during collection. Our volunteers give their time freely, and we want to avoid this happening again.

We kindly remind everyone:

Bottles and cans only (Re-Turn logo)

Completely empty before placing in the bin

Caps replaced where possible

No liquids or general rubbish

A little care makes a big difference and helps us keep this fundraiser running smoothly for the benefit of all our underage players.
