U14
Very hard luck to our U14 girls who lost their County final last Sunday Sept 28th when they played Bantry on the 3G pitch in Pairc Uí Chaoimh. It was not our day. We had our chances but had one of those days in front of the posts where the harder we tried the less likely the shots would go over. Thanks for all the support in Pairc Ui Chaoimh and also back in the club. It is great to be able to bring the girls back to the club after a match and process a loss as well as celebrating wins. Fé 6
Its that time of year again when we begin our recruitment for our newest team in the Club. See details on the post below:
Camogie
U7’s and U8’s:
Our U7’s and U8’s took part in a blitz in Park South on Friday 26th of Sept. The girls had great fun while also showing their competitive side.
Under 10’s:
Our U10’s took part in a blitz hosted by Killeagh on Sunday 28th of Sept. There were six teams taking part and all enjoyed a great morning of Camogie. Our girls really stood up in very competitive games. Well done girls.
Under 12’s:
Our U12s made the journey to Ballinspittle on Sat 27th of Sept to play Courcey Rovers in Match 5 of phase 4.
Courceys were strong from the first whistle and went ahead early on. Their players were well up for the battle and fought hard for every ball.
After half time, the Midleton girls dug deep and drew on their skills and marvellous team work to pull back the scoring. The team work we’ve seen grow with every match kicked in and we took over possession for the last quarter and left with a win.
Well done to the Midleton girls for never giving up.
Under 13’s:
Our U13’s played their final game in their group at home in park south on Sat 27th of Sept against Aghabullogue. The girls played a strong game from the whistle and were delighted to come away with a comprehensive win. The girls have won all their matches in the group and have qualified for the semi final. Well done to Rebecca our captain today and thank you to Aghabullogue for travelling.
Under 16’s:
Well done to our U16’s, captained by Aoise, who took on a strong Milford side under lights in the 3G on Tuesday 23rd Sept in a fantastic battling performance. The girls showed grit and determination but also played some outstanding camogie. Final score Midleton 2:13, Milford 2:08.
Well done to our U16’s, captained by Gabby who came away with a hard fought win against Ballyhea on Saturday 27th of Sept in Clonmult winning on a score line of 3:09 to 1:11 in their final group match.
