Under 12’s:
Our U12’s played in a Phase 4 league match on Saturday 30th August V St Colum’s. In conditions that were far from ideal with high winds and heavy showers we took on a very strong side that had travelled the long road up from West Cork. The girls battled hard for every score but the teamwork and the effort paid off and they came out with the win. The girls played lots of challenge matches throughout the summer and all that experience paid off. Thanks as always to the under 11s that helped us out on the day, to St Colums for making the trip and for a very competitive game.
Under 16’s:
Hard luck to our U16’s who played their first round of Championship V St Finbarrs away. In difficult conditions the girls battled hard but we didn’t get the breaks. Final score: Barrs 4:05, Midleton 1:10. Well done to captain Roisin and all of the girls. Next match V Kilbrittin away next Sunday 7th of September at 12 pm.
Juvenile
Fé 16
Well done to both minor teams this week. Finishing the group stages of the championship, with two wins. This will see us play in both minor hurling competitions at the semifinal stage.
Fé11
It has been a busy few weeks for our team. We took on Ballincollig in a hurling blitz on the 16-08-25. Then on the 23rd we played Kinsale before travelling to Tallow the following Monday for two very competitive hurling games. We then travelled to the Barrs last Saturday and braved the torrential rain to put in a fine football performance. Well done lads.
