Four Glenville Players in Cork Colours
There was great pride in Glenville GAA last weekend as four of our young footballers represented Cork at U15 level. Alex O’Connor and Darren O’Connor travelled to Portlaoise where they lined out against Louth, while Matthew Murphy and Kallum Murphy were in Clashmore to face Waterford.
All four acquitted themselves extremely well in the red jersey, continuing the fine tradition of Glenville players making the step up to inter-county level. Wearing the Cork colours is a special honour, and the club is delighted to see the hard work and dedication of these young lads being rewarded with opportunities on the representative stage.
Well done to Alex, Darren, Matthew and Kallum – the club is very proud of you.
Reminder – Re-Turn Bins at Glenville GAA
Glenville GAA wish to thank everyone who has been using the orange Re-Turn recycling bins at the club grounds in recent months. The initiative has been making a real difference, with all proceeds from returned bottles and cans going directly to support the Juvenile Section.
The club would like to remind members and supporters that these bins are for bottles and cans only (with the Re-Turn logo). Containers should be empty before being placed in the bin, and no general rubbish should be disposed of in them.
Every correctly recycled container helps raise funds for the club while also protecting our environment. Glenville GAA greatly appreciate the continued support of the community in making this scheme a success.
Upcoming Fixtures – Glenville GAA
This is a big weekend of championship action for the club with both our Junior B footballers and Fé14s in knockout ties. All support is greatly appreciated – let’s get behind the lads in black and amber
