Great performance on the night from our lads winning this game especially after Douglas beat us by a point in championship back in May. We knew we left it after us that night in Douglas conceding 2 late goals and the lads were eager to right that wrong. We created some beautiful interlinking plays and scores, but the most pleasing factor was our attitude from the throw in and the way we applied ourselves by working extremely hard when we didn’t have the ball. We had more tackles, hooks and blocks than the opposition and won more turnovers, rucks and puckouts which was very pleasing to say the least. Ye have set the bar now lads – Well Done!

Camogie

A great night of Camogie in Park South last Thursday evening for our u14 team to take on Watergrasshill in a challenge match before the teams begin their championships. There were plenty of skills on display, and the effort from each player was fantastic. Well done to Aoibhínn Murphy for captaining the team on the night. Aoibhínn also represented Cork at the U14 National Blitz in Dublin last Saturday, 9th of August.

Huge commiserations to all the Cork panel,  coaches and management including Ger Manley on a very close All Ireland final last Sunday. The Cork team have been fantastic.
