All Ireland Fever

Well, what a few weeks awaits - it's all happening in our club, with loads to look forward to and everyone at this stage is already gripped in All Ireland fever..

Ciarán's exploits with the rebel county have thrust Castlemartyr GAA into the spotlight over the past few years and once again he produced another excellent display in last Saturday's runaway win over Dublin.

It seems in the village and surrounds, hurling talk dominates. . It's time to paint Castlemartyr, Mogeely, and the entire area red and white We want you to get flags and bunting flying high in your homes and business premises. Let's all show our huge support for Ciarán and all the Cork team.

Club committee members are meeting on this Thursday evening to put up flags/bunting, etc, so feel free to lend a hand and join in the big match build-up.

Hunt For Tickets!!

As always, tickets are a hot topic of conversation - it has been well documented already about the distribution process, and we all know that many who made the journey last Saturday will struggle to get tickets. Cork GAA CEO summed it up when saying that "in the region of 60,000 Cork fans made it to the semi final , but only in the region 30,000 tickets will be available for the Final, so it's not going to be easy".
Our secretary Donagh has already posted on this chat last evening outlining the process that's in place locally.

Win 2 Tickets

One solution would be to win 2 tickets - as part of ongoing fundraising efforts for our facilities, Castlemartyr GAA are holding a draw for 2 stand tickets for the Final. The draw tickets will go on sale in the next 24 hours, costing €10 each - all proceeds go directly to our development fund. You can purchase tickets in local shops, online or from club officers. Tickets will be also be on sale at Sunday's Midleton/Killeagh Div 2 League Final - 5pm at our pitch.

Golf Classic

It's just a week away and a huge thanks again for your support - the event is on cue to be our biggest and best yet - even surpassing last year's Centenary Year Classic. It should be a great 3 days of action from Wednesday to Friday next week.
Limited tee times are available, and we are also still accepting tee box sponsorship.
Please contact Christy O'Sullivan, John Cashman or any committee member.

League Final

Back to the aforementioned game on Sunday - a very large crowd is expected for this all East Cork clash to decide the division 2 league title.. Killeagh won the group game just a few weeks ago to set up a rematch, as the team chases early season silverware - a game worth watching. Throw in at Paddy Walsh Memorial Park is at 5pm.

Football Championship

Our football championship opener against Lisgoold is set for Ballinacurra on next Thursday July 17th at 8pm against Lisgoold, with Willie Wallis in charge.
Follow up games are against Cloyne in Aghavine and against Youghal in Killeagh. We host the Dungourney/Aghada match on the following evening July 18th.

Coffee Truck

A reminder to all to please support the Coffee Truck which is open during all events and matches, serving tea, coffee and tasty treats.
