U21 Football Championship – Semi-Final
Carrigtwohill 1-19
Glenville 1-18
An agonising defeat for Glenville in a thrilling U21 Football Semi-Final, edged out by Carrigtwohill with the last kick of the game.
In a match that had everything — intensity, skill, and drama — both sides delivered a brilliant display and treated supporters to a fantastic evening of football. Glenville battled bravely from start to finish, showing great heart and quality throughout.
It was a game that could have gone either way, and while the result didn’t go our way, it was a proud performance from our lads.
Best of luck to Carrigtwohill in the final.
U15 Football League
Erins Own 4-09
Glenville 2-08
Glenville wrapped up their U15 Football League campaign with a tough away encounter against a physically strong Erins Own side on Sunday last.
The home side dominated the opening stages, with Glenville struggling to match their power and intensity in the first half. At the break, Erins Own held a commanding 2-05 to 0-03 lead.
The second half saw a much improved Glenville performance, with more possession and attacking intent. A superb goal from Kallum Fahy injected some life into the contest, followed by a string of well-taken points. When James O’Mahony struck for Glenville’s second goal, the margin was down to four points entering the final minutes.
Despite a spirited fightback and a few late opportunities, Erins Own held firm and struck a fourth goal on the counterattack to seal the result.
Hard luck to our lads who never gave up and fought to the end. Well done to Erins Own on a strong performance and a competitive, sporting game. There are plenty of positives and learnings to take from the match as we continue to build.
A special mention to the 20 Glenville players who togged out and proudly wore the Black and Amber jersey.

Best Wishes to Ber O’Callaghan on Her Retirement
All at Glenville GAA would like to wish Ber O’Callaghan the very best on her retirement from Glenville National School.
Ber, along with her sister Mairead, made a lasting impact on our parish and community — not only through their dedication as educators, but also through their incredible promotion of Gaelic games in the school. Their leadership and passion helped inspire generations of young footballers and hurlers, and they proudly led many teams to Sciath na Scol success over the years.
Thank you, Ber, for everything you’ve done for the young people of Glenville. Enjoy a well-earned and happy retirement — your legacy will be felt on the pitches and in the hearts of the community for years to come.
