U14
Glenville's U14 C3 team made the trip to Rostellan on Wednesday 12th April to face Aghada. Glenville started well with a goal but for the next 15 minutes it was all Aghaga who put over several impressive points and 2 goals. Glenville got going again and found the back of the net twice more to leave the score at 3-4 to 2-4 in favour of the visitors at half time.
Things were tight in the second half with both teams somehow missing goal opportunities from point blank range. In the end it was Glenville who gritted out a 2 point victory on a scoreline of 4-7 to 4-5.
U14 Football League
Glenville 3.09
Erin's Own 4.06
A last gasp goal from Gearoid Fitzgerald earned Glenville a deserved draw against a strong Erin's own side played on a lovely evening in Fouhy Park. Erin's own had the better of the 1st half and led by 8 pts at halftime. A super 2nd half from the lads, with goals from Darren, Josh Aherne and that super effort from Gearoid right at the death, gave Glenville a deserved draw the share of the spoils after an absorbing contest. Great performances from all the 16 players this evening. Well done to the team and management on a great game. Team:  Harry Wain, Eoghan O Mahony, Liam Sheehan, Danny Scannell, Scott O Mahony, Gearoid Fitzgerald, Liam Moynihan, Callum O Callaghan, Josh Madden, Josh Aherne, James Buckley, Matthew Counihan, Cillian O Connor, Billy Graham, Darren Cahill, Pa O Sullivan
U11s
Our u11s were in action in Glanmire  in a qualifying blitz for the John Kerins tournament.
Teams of 11. We played 3 matches. A slow start against a strong Eire Og side cost us in the first match. Next up a hard fought and exciting contest with Douglas which ended in a draw.
Our final match against Glanmire was very tense and exciting, some great scores on display and the lads really dug in to hold out for a narrow 2 point victory. Unfortunately we missed out on qualification for the finals on scoring difference.
U9
Our U9s travelled to Donoughmore on Saturday, where they played three entertaining matches against the hosts. It's great to see the skill levels improving and the boys are showing great enthusiasm.
A credit to their coaches and parents.
