Ahead of the hurling championship weekend and as spectators return to matches, there are guidelines for all spectators too. A limit on the number of people at games will unfortunately remain at 200 people. Please read these guidelines carefully. Therefore, next Sunday, we will be limited in the number of tickets that will be available. The Cork Season Ticket holders will get first preference, then the clubs will get the remainder. For next Sunday, you will need a ticket on the pitch as per Cork County Board regulations & Government restrictions of numbers in an outdoor setting. NO TICKET = NO ENTRY
Please remember next time that you enter Páirc Uí Chinnéide, we all have a responsibility to each other to behave appropriately to ensure the suppression of the virus. We also have guidelines for everyone entering Páirc Uí Chinnéide and we ask all persons entering the club grounds to adhere to these. As per GAA statement on July 10th “The use of face coverings is strongly advised for all patrons over the age of 13... Spectators must not enter the field of play at any time including pre-match, at half-time and other intervals and after the final whistle or at end-of-match presentations.”
All players & coaches of the club should read the new rules & regulations under the Covid-19 emergency as released by Croke Park on Friday July 13th to understand what is acceptable going forward and what is not. There are new additions to Match Regulations and all teams and managers should read this document carefully.
Because of a limited number of tickets available to next weekend’s matches, we are going to draw names for tickets for both matches. If you wish to enter the draw to avail of a ticket for either match, all fully paid-up members (both adult & juvenile) should text only Runaí Mary Fitzgibbon before Tuesday at 11am. The draw will be made after the Lotto on Tuesday evening. We don’t know at time of print how many tickets we will have but it will be between 0-40. This is an awful predicament we have been left in but we cannot be held responsible for the Government Guidelines! We wish our Senior & Junior Panels the very best next weekend!! REBEL ÓG PREMIER 2 MINOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP
St. Colman's 3-11 Killeagh-Ita's 0-14
St. Colman's took first blood in this year's minor championship with a deserved victory in Cloyne on Wednesday night last. A goal on 8 minutes which also led to the enforced withdrawal of our full back Robbie Treacy due to injury gave the hosts a half time lead of 1-7 to 0-8, despite the best efforts of David Collins, Christian Coughlan and a beautiful sideline cut point from Dylan McCarthy. Two goals in quick succession after half time left us nine points in arrears and facing a wipeout with the wind against us. Our team showed remarkable resilience to keep the contest alive, with Colm and Ciaran Leahy,
George Walsh Wallace and Daniel Doherty leading the charge, and with two minutes to go the gap was down to just four points as we laid siege to the Colman's goal. However, our green flag moment didn't come and Colman's got across the line six ahead on Cathal McAllister's final whistle. Next up we play Youghal on August 5th before Kiltha Óg come to visit us on August 19th.

REBEL ÓG EAST FE 16 FOOTBALL LEAGUE
St. Catherine's 3-10 Killeagh-Ita's 4-04
St. Catherine's claimed the league points after an exciting opening round league game played in Ballynoe at high noon on Sunday 26th July. A quick start saw us 1-1 to 0-0 ahead after three minutes with a Ben Walsh point followed by a Conor Meade goal. Catherine's settled and went ahead on 12 minutes with a goal, after they had kicked two points beforehand. Ben Walsh was back on the scoresheet to level matters by the water break, before Darragh O'Brien goaled on 20 minutes and Ben Walsh added another on 23 minutes. Catherine's kept in touch with four points from play, and this left the score at 3-02 to 1-06 at half time. Our defence was beaten for a second goal on 35 minutes which was the first time we surrendered the lead, and by the second water break it was 2-08 to 3-04 in favour of the Saints. David Buckley's goal gave us back the lead but our hosts finished stronger with the final 1-02 in the last ten minutes. A great shot from Daniel Walsh hit the base of the upright in the final minutes - it would have given us a draw that our efforts deserved, but unfortunately it was not to be on this occasion. Having said that, Fionn Murphy made two fantastic saves in the final five minutes to prevent further goals that might have widened the gap even more. Next up in this league is a match against Fr. O'Neills on Sunday August 9th at 11am.

KILLEAGH/ITAS U-10s GET OUT FOR MATCHES
The boys returned to training on July 1st after the lockdown. They are a dedicated group and are enjoying their hurling and football. They played challenge matches in both codes last Saturday morning in Shanagarry against St.Colman’s and played very well. Some of those who shone for Killeagh/Ita’s included Christopher Connon, Oscar Power, Oisin Conlon, Charlie Lawton, Kerry Asibor and Cathal Murphy. Many thanks to St. Colman’s GAA Club for looking after us very well on the day. The boys are very welcoming to new players, so please contact Killeagh/Itas’ Juvenile GAA Club if your son was born in 2010 and would like to play hurling and football.
COACHING AND SAFEGUARDING COURSES
With training & games returned last week, a final call for all our mentors and coaches to fulfil their duties of completing their respective Coaching & Safeguarding courses with a matter of urgency. As outlined prior to the Pandemic, all persons involved in helping out the team management or players that are in the Under 18 category will need to be E-Vetted.
We will be contacting the respective coaches/mentors who need to attend training in time, but for the moment we ask that ALL COACHES should start or complete the mandatory online E-Vetting process. You can do this by logging onto gaa.ie, search for the E-Vetting section and complete the necessary steps as outlined. We need these completed before we return to the green fields of Páirc Uí Chinnéide. COVID-19 HEALTH GUIDELINES
There have been a few changes to our Health Guidelines below. Over the next week as players, mentors & parents return to Páirc Uí Chinnéide, please take note of the following points that should be noted by all members;
1. All training, team gatherings & meetings may resume from June 27th.
2. All players should be coming to the field with the line of “Get in, Train & Get out!” over the next couple of weeks until further notice. Players should arrive no earlier than 10 minutes for your scheduled session and leave within 5 minutes of the completion of the session.
3. We ask that all players should arrive to Páirc Uí Chinnéide in separate cars (ie. No car-sharing) & that if parents could where possible stay in the cars for the duration of the training session or utilize the use of our walkway. We would recommend not to hang around in groups, adhere to Social Distancing guidelines and not to be leaning on the fencing as it could be very easy to spread to virus by touching the fence and passing it to someone else.
4. A directive from Croke Park states that "Club gyms are to be closed and access suspended". Therefore, our Gym will be closed until further notice.
5. To minimise the risk of the Coronavirus spreading, our club shop will remain closed until further notice.
6. All dressing room facilities are to remain closed until further notice as the Covid-19 advisory committee must meet to issue advice on this. We ask the ALL MEMBERS adhere to this directive of the closure.
7. Our walkway Páirc Uí Chinnéide is in use for all in the community. When using this facility, please adhere to Social Distancing guidelines (2m apart) and walk in an anti-clockwise direction keeping the Main Pitch to your left-hand side. Please keep off the newly seeded banks and grass margins as these just starting to grow.
8. We ask that people using our walkway should be located within the county or within the 20km recommended radius and that you ‘Stay Local’. If shopping, support Local Businesses.
9. We ask all players, club members, parents of children in our Underage section & spectators to read the ‘Guidelines on Safe Return to Gaelic Games’ which is attached below. This is a living but important and essential document to understand on how to return to some normality in the coming weeks. Before each training session/match, we ask that each player answers the Health Questionnaire as per the Return to Play protocols.
10. Please follow all guidelines issued to the public by Government and HSE and especially those on hand washing, cough etiquette, face coverings, hygiene and social distancing both indoors and outdoors.
11. Please offer appropriate support to your neighbours, elderly people & those at risk in our community - checking in with a regular phone call is a good way to do this or helping them by purchasing their shopping during the week.
12. There will be toilets open for emergency use.
13. If you are unwell, feel sick or have any symptoms of Covid-19, please do not come to Páirc Uí Chinnéide, stay at home and self-isolate as per Public Health advice.

With training resuming in the last few weeks and matches not long thereafter, we ask that all players should have their membership paid at this stage. If not, please contact our Registrar Ger Scully or your team manager. Club members should also have their membership at this stage.

· €100 for Adult Players + €50 Gym Access

CÚL CAMPS RETURN TO TG4
Because of the lack of Cúl Camps due to red tapes restrictions, health guidelines etc., the young generation can watch the skills of Gaelic Games, learn from Games Promotions Officers with new skills and know how to warm up properly, what is good nutrition to be eating & hear from great stars of the Gaelic Games world. You can watch it each weekday morning this week from 10:25am (repeated at 5:15pm) for a 30 min duration.
CORK COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS RELEASED
The Cork County Executive confirmed the County Championship format for all clubs which will commence from July 24th onwards. We will face Newcestown on Sunday August 2nd at 2pm in Páirc Uí Rinn. The games against Kanturk (Aug 7th-9th) & Cloyne (Aug 28th -30th)
In East Cork, we can also confirm that Glenbower Rovers have picked up a bye for the Quarter Finals of the Michael O’Connor Motor Factors East Cork Junior ‘A’ Football Championship when they will face the winners of Midleton/Cloyne on September 4-6th.
While in hurling, the first game for our Junior ‘A’ hurlers in the East Cork Oil Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship will be against Erins Own on Monday August 3rd in Clonmult Memorial Park, Midleton at 3:30pm. Our second game will be against St. Itas in August, if we win, we play the following weekend, if we lose, we will play on the weekend of August 28th-30th.
While there will be a limit of people allowed to attend games for the next while, we will be using an app for your phone called Whats The Scór which you can download for free. We will be using this app for as many games as we possibly can for both adult & juvenile!
GAA STATEMENT ON COVID-19 CLUB EDUCATION PROGRAMME FOR CLUBS (12th JUNE 2020)
Since the publication of the Guidelines on Safe Return to Gaelic Games on 5 June, the GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association have partnered to develop a Covid-19 Club Education Programme to help those involved in Clubs return safely to Gaelic Games activities.
Through education on roles and responsibilities, the programme aims to reinforce how collective responsibility can help protect the health and welfare of all those involved in Gaelic Games and minimise the risk of transmission of Covid-19 in local communities.
The programme will be delivered in stages with the initial offering focussing on Covid Supervisors and Club Officers.
More detailed information for Players and Parents/Guardians of underage Players, and Team Personnel such as Managers, Coaches and Medical Personnel will be issued during the week starting 16 June.
A number of key points are worth noting.
· Clubs will not be expected to record the temperatures of players when they arrive for training/games.
· Adult players and parents/guardians of underage players will be required to complete an online Health Questionnaire once prior to their return to GAA Activities.
· Adult players and parents/guardians of underage players will then be required to declare, before each training session/game, that their health status has not changed.
· An online system for the health questionnaire will be provided centrally by the GAA. This is the only system that should be used.
As a vital part of the return of Gaelic Games, ALL adult players, ALL parents of underage players & ALL managers, coaches & Covid-19 Team Supervisors MUST complete this online eLearning module before returning to any training. https://courses.gaa.ie/Covid19ClubEd/#/ It should only take 10-15 minutes. Once you finish the module, you will receive a certificate. This is important, fill your name into the relevant space and print it off or take a screen shot and give to your manager at your first training session The online Health Questionnaire can be completed via (http://returntoplay.gaa.ie) and can be seen by the club and the relevant Covid-19 Supervisor. Also, plans will be communicated next week on specific Covid-19 education for referees and games development staff, e.g. protocols for Cúl Camps and sample coaching activities. CORK COUNTY BOARD ANNOUNCES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH ARRANGEMENTS (17TH JULY 2020)
Cork County Board has announced that a new online ticketing system is being rolled out to safeguard all involved in upcoming county championship games. “This system will ensure minimal contact, safe regulation of numbers at venues and ease of contact tracing in the event of a Covid-19 case”, said county chairperson, Tracey Kennedy, today.
“Full details of the Ticketmaster/Universe system recommended by the GAA will be outlined to clubs early next week, and look forward to seeing it in operation next weekend,” she continued. “While operating our games with a limit of 200 in attendance is a huge challenge, we have worked hard to develop an allocation system that is as fair as possible. However, it is absolutely vital for the safe operation of our games that no-one turns up without the appropriate ticket. Everyone from players to host club members to spectators must have a ticket from the online system.”
“Arrangements for the allocation of these tickets have been sent to clubs today, along with details of priority arrangements for club season ticket and premium ticket holders, who have already paid for their tickets and will have access to the ticketing system twenty-four hours ahead of everyone else.”
“Unfortunately, the 200 limit means that we will have a maximum of 80 tickets available for supporters when teams and officials, host venue staff, media and other essential personnel are covered. These will be offered to season/premium ticket holders initially, with the remainder divided evenly between the participating clubs, and anything left after that will go on general sale.”
“A number of our games will be broadcast live on TG4 and RTE, and we will be confirming the streaming of some games in due course. I know our local media will also do a fantastic job in bringing us details of as many games as possible,” said Kennedy. “This situation is far from ideal, but in this new Covid-19 world, we are getting accustomed to making adjustments, and I am sure people will understand the restrictions under which we have to operate.”
“Once more, I would appeal to supporters not to attend games unless they have purchased a ticket via the online system, which will go live early next week, and to follow all GAA and public health guidance for attending games.”
Arrangements for County Championship Games – Key Points
1. Attendance at all games will be by ticket only.
1. Tickets must be pre-purchased online via Ticketmaster/Universe (details to follow). We appeal to patrons not to turn up at any venue without a ticket.
2. There will be no sale of tickets at venues.
3. No cash sales are permitted.
4. Anyone inside the ground at a game must have a ticket, including players, stewards, media etc (see point 2 below). Children of any age must have a ticket. No-one can be admitted to the ground without a valid ticket for each individual game.
5. Season ticket/premium ticket/media passes can only be used in conjunction with a ticket (see point 2 below).
6. Tickets will be scanned via mobile phone app at all venues (more details to follow).
7. Tickets are priced at €8 for all round-robin games; no concessions are available.
2. Ticket allocation
1. Tickets will be allocated on the online system via individual or group codes which will be provided in advance.
2. Participating teams and officials: 40 tickets each.
3. Host venue/stewards/referees and officials/media etc 40 tickets allocated by the Cork GAA office.
4. A maximum of 80 spectator tickets will be available while the 200 restriction applies.
5. Season ticket/premium ticket holders have already paid for their tickets, and will have priority access to the online system for 24 hours before everyone else ahead of each round of games (they will be notified when this access is opened) in which to download a ticket for games they wish to attend, subject to certain limitations.
6. Remaining tickets for each game will be offered to the participating clubs in equal amounts for optional online purchase.
7. Subsequent to this, in the event that any of the 80 spectator tickets remain, they will be put on general sale online.
8. It is expected that ahead of next weekend’s games, the priority window for season/premium ticket holders will be activated over the weekend, any club spectator allocation will be made available on Monday or Tuesday, and any remaining tickets will go on general sale later in the week.
3. Broadcasting/Streaming of Games
1. A number of County Championship games will be televised by TG4 and RTE.
2. A number of County Championship games will be live-streamed – further details to follow.
3. As always, any live streaming of games by clubs or individuals is not permitted.
4. Requirements in relation to permission to video games are in place as normal.
4. Match Arrangements
1. The CCC has formally adopted the Croke Park match regulations to apply to all games in the Cork county championships – these have already been sent to clubs.
2. Any public health issues arising during the championships will be examined on a case-by-case basis by the CCC in line with national GAA and HSE guidance.
3. As previously communicated, dressing rooms and all other indoor facilities apart from toilets remain closed.
4. All public health and GAA guidance for attending events should be followed by anyone attending a game in any capacity.

UPDATED ADVICE ON FACILITIES & GUIDANCE ON DEALING WITH POSITIVE CASES (14TH JULY 2020)
Please find below, and in the attached document, important updates and guidance that is being forwarded to you at the request of the Ard Stiúrthóir.
Arising from a meeting of the GAA’s Covid Advisory Group last night, it was agreed on a risk stratification basis that the following GAA facilities should remain closed after July 20th and until further notice:
- All Dressing Rooms
- All Club and County Gyms
It was agreed that Handball alleys could be opened from July 20th but can only be used subject to the guidance and control measures outlined in the GAA Handball Return to Play Document.
Club Bars that do not serve food, are permitted to open from July 20th provided they follow the Government Regulations for the relevant sector, and all required third party insurances and assurances are in place.
Updated guidance for Clubs on “Dealing with positive or suspected cases” was also agreed. This guidance replaces the previous advice issued to clubs and counties on June 2
FUTURE PITCH BOOKINGS
As we reopen our pitches for teams both training & playing matches, we have updated the strict protocols for late July & early August to make sure the correct procedures are being taken. We are doing our best to ensure that every team gets a fair opportunity to a Safe Return to Play Gaelic Games and gets the required time on the field towards training & playing matches. The relevant Chairpersons & Secretaries of the clubs have been notified of this and will speak to mentors in the coming days regarding such. If you are a mentor and you have not been notified of the protocols, please contact the Chairperson of your club. Please take note that the only way to book a pitch will be via email (pro.killeagh.cork@gaa.ie) and no other way will be accepted. We will be taking bookings up to August 16th until further notice. We would ask all teams that we would require some flexibility towards matches & training sessions in the coming weeks as matches will be played thick and fast across all four codes. These pitch bookings will also concur with the relevant contact tracing (HSE Guidelines) which may be required further down the line.

The latest club draw took place on last Tuesday 21st of July. Last week’s Lotto Jackpot was €8,600. The numbers drawn on the night were 2. 15, 24 & 32. We had no winner of this week’s jackpot. The €30 Lucky Dip winners drawn were Eileen Bergin and Liam & Sheila Foley, while the €30 voucher for Fitzgibbons Garage, Killeagh was won by Denise Collins & the €30 voucher for Ahern’s Centra, Killeagh was won by Tadhg Landers. Well done to all! This week's Jackpot is a massive €8,800!

We have restarted our Cash Sales Lotto with a new system in place!
You can call to either O’Neill’s Londis or Ahern’s Centra in Killeagh Village and purchase your tickets with our new specially made boxes in what is a safe friendly environment.
Follow these simple instructions;
1. Arrive to your local shop, take an envelope from the holder.
2. Fill out the envelope with your lucky numbers
3. Fill in your details so we can contact you when you win the Lotto Jackpot!!
4. Place your money into the envelope accordingly
5. Deposit your entry into the slot in the box & all entries will be collected at 6:45pm every Tuesday

ONLINE KILLEAGH GAA LOTTO SYSTEM – PLEASE TAKE NOTE
Our club has now transferred onto the new Smart Lotto system.
The new system is different in that you can now add money to your ‘Smart Lotto account wallet’ and use this money to play Lotto over the following weeks whenever you wish.
This reduces banking charges & fees for you due to fewer card transactions & makes it easier for you to play the club lotto.
Current online registered players will need to activate their new account by:
1. You should now have received an email (check Junk/Spam) from Smart Lotto with a link to the new Lotto system. This link will guide you to ‘create a new password’ & enter your payment details etc.
2. If you haven’t received an email, no problem, you can still use the link below. Click ‘Menu’ (Top Right lines on mobile device), click ‘login’, and click ‘Forgot password’, follow instructions to enter new password & follow instructions to add payment details etc.
3. Play our Club Lotto & be in with a chance to win the jackpot while supporting your club. At this time when we have no other income, our lotto is more vital than ever in helping us meet our ongoing financial commitments on a monthly basis.

KILLEAGH GAA GOLF SOCIETY:
Our 24th Annual Golf Classic will be held on September 3rd, 4th & 5th 2020 which will take place in West Waterford Golf Club. We have been inundated with calls regarding teams entering themselves onto the timesheet, Tee Box sponsors & Classic sponsors. One thing for sure, as our playing time will be slightly more limited than our annual fixture in July, it is important for teams to book themselves onto the timesheet early.
Thankfully, we have major sponsors on board with us to get the clubs biggest fundraiser this year off the ground, namely Premier Service Station, Midleton (proprietor JJ Fennelly), Fogarty Bros. Car Sales Killeagh, Mark Landers Financial Services, Helio Gas Detection & Abbeylands Nursing Home, Kildorrery! We would like to place on record our thanks & gratitude towards of all the above!

Well done to Denis Hickey who was another first time winner of a Golfer of the Year competition! Thanks to all who made it a record turnout for a Thursday outing of the Golfer of the Year competition! Also, a appreciation of thanks to Tim Crotty who was the sponsor on the day! Next outing is the Captains Prize at Castlemartyr resort on Sunday 16th August from 1:20pm! Again, a date for the diary as it is the 3rd leg of the Golfer of the Year competition! Our next Tuesday outing is to Fermoy Golf Club on Tuesday 4th August starting at 11am, the timesheet is with Ray Rochford.
We return to Fermoy Golf Club for the ‘Keep It in the Family’ day out on Saturday August 29th.
The President’s Prize (of which Colman Motherway put up a beautiful piece of Glass last year) will be held on September 12th on Kinsale. More details to follow for this.
