Wednesday Walking Rescheduled

Due to the cold weather and further uncertainty regarding the mid week forecast, we have decided to postpone our start date for the Wednesday Walking session until Wednesday week January 14th. Please join us then from 7pm to 8pm for our first gathering of 2026.

Long Puck

A big thanks to all who took part in this year's Long Puck competitions - we had a great turn out with a total 29 Family and 28 Adult teams taking part. Congratulations to the Family team winners - Daniel O'Donovan and John Forrest and to the adult victors James Lawton, Eoin Cashman and MIke Kelly. A big thanks to all our sponsors beginning with the Walsh Family- as they remembered the late Joseph who was for many years central to all things Castlemartyr GAA. The Joseph Walsh Memorial Long Puck is now firmly established as one of the biggest in the East Cork region.

Thanks to The Village Greengrocer, Army Surplus Store, Clifford's Bar, Beauty Within and Castle Pharmacy. Your support for this great sporting and social occasion is greatly appreciated.
Some people are already looking forward to next year's event - not sure if its the long puck itself or the afters in Clifford's.... The tradition certainly lives on.

Hurling League Fixtures

The dates have been announced for our Intermediate League fixtures which will run from early March until late June, with championship dress rehearsals against Cloyne and Dungourney and further local fixtures against Midleton and Youghal included in the nine match programme.

A few miles to be covered this year on the road - unlike last year when we were favoured with home games against our more distant opponents.

Imokilly Football

There is a big push being made to put Imokilly footballers back on the map. A new management group featuring both Martin Enright and Seanie Bowens has been formed, with training due to start next Monday. Part of the efforts to progress the big ball game is the addition of a new under 21 football league, which begins later this month and will see Castlemarty taking apart.

Lotto

A gentle reminder again that the Lotto is back in operation after a mini break for Christmas. The draw takes place each Monday.

Happy New Year To All
