Intermediate football league
Glenville 3-16 Millstreet 2-07
Glenville intermediates got back to winning ways last Friday night with an excellent performance against millstreet.Right from the throw in Glenville attacked with pace and precision and soon found themselves 1.2 to 0.0 in front. From goalkeeper to the  full forward line Glenville continued to dominate the first half and could have been further ahead but for a small lapse  in concentration. The half time score was  2-08 to 1-03.Genville coped with  everything Millstreet threw at them in the second half and ran out deserved winners on final score 3 16 to 2.7. It would be  unfair to mention any players individually as this was an outstanding team performance where everyone including the subs who came on contributed. Next up away trip to Adrigole.

U16C League
Glenville 4-10 - Glanmire 0-05
Our u16C3 squad was out again last Monday night at home to Glanmire. This team has been going very well, but the injury list has grown with Dylan added to the four players unavailable from last week. However, this team has shown great heart in every game they played and this one was no different, with the team settling early with some good scores, running into a strong lead by half time, and continuing to keep the scoreboard ticking over, eventually running out victors on a scoreline of 4-10 to 0-05. Considering this is our 2nd team it was a fantastic result and the players were excellent throughout. We were leaning heavily on our U14s to fill out the panel and they really showed up and showed out, with each of them putting in a terrific performance. All the lads did very well, but special mention to Jack who was his usual industrious and clinical self at corner forward and Jayden who put in a huge shift at centre-field.
Team: L.Guichard; A.Casey, S.Callinan, F.Duffy; J.Kelleher, J.Madden, R.Kelleher; D.Barry, (2-0) J.Hennebry (0-2); W.Manley, T.McCarthy, C.Buckley (0-03); J.Counihan (1-5), D.O’Leary (1-2), E.Hartnett; G.Fitzgerald, L.Sheehan
U17 league
Glenville 3-07 Killavullen 1-16
The u17East Div 2 league started on Wednesday night with a home fixture for us vs. Killavullen. This was the first time this team has played together as a group in while and with a few players missing we certainly lacked a little cohesion in the first half in particular and it took a great goal from Darragh to keep us even in touching distance at half time. We were much better in the second half and with Billy moving to the centre of the field we started driving at Killavullen’s defence and put in a very strong effort before ultimately coming out on the wrong side of a 1-16 to 3-7 scoreline. To be fair, Killavullen played some excellent football on the night and were deserving winners, but our second half performance was very encouraging for the games to come.
Team: C.Sheehan; C.McHugh, S.O’Leary, C.O’Brien; D.O’Bric, B.Ryan, C.O’Mahony (0-1); C.Linehan (1-3), M.O’Riordan (0-1); C.O’Neill, R.Loftus (1-0), F.Fitzgerald; D.Collins (1-0), D.Field, C.Buckley; S.O’Callaghan (0-2), E.Hartnett, L.Guichard
