U13
Glenville U13s travelled to Mayfield on Saturday the 24th of August for Round 4 of the East Cork Div 1 League. At 27 degrees conditions were difficult for both teams. However, Glenville had the upper hand in the first half and were three points up at the interval. Unfortunately Mayfield found their stride in the second half and with two minutes to go they found the back of the net to put them ahead for the first time in the match. Glenville kept their composure though and worked their way up the field where they won a free and the resulting point earned them a draw. The right result in the end. Well done to both sets of players for providing a great display of football in such tough conditions.
U11
Glenville u11 footballers traveled to Ballyhooly this morning to play Ballyhooly & Castletownroche. With 20 players and two teams of 10 aside the lads played some great football in very hot conditions and credit to our players their fitness levels were of a high standard and finished the games stronger than there opponents . So well done to all involved and the lads really enjoyed the ice creams after the games to cool down ⚫️
