East Cork U21 A Football Championship Semi-final.

Saturday 5th March 7pm  in Rostellan.

Aghada 0-17  Midleton 0-5.

 U21 A THE CORN CLONMULT TROPHY   dreams of three in a row are kept alive with a comfortable win over Midleton under lights in Rostellan on Saturday night. The conditions were heavy enough with this the first game with along time played in Rostellan due to weather. Shane Bennett  got us on the score board with a point . Conor O Driscoll got next point before Shane popped up to get his second. The backs started very well under the command of Jake O Donoghue at centre back and Edward Leahy at full back. They had Jack McDonnell . Mark Healy  Kalen O Donoghue and Jordan Tynan supporting them. The midfield pairing of captain Conor O Driscoll and Andrew Murphy kept the supply to the forwards .Aaron Berry tapped over a 21 meter free to make it four points before Midleton got their first point. Jack Farmer at centre forward  carried the ball well and provided great ball to the inside forwards . Charlie Terry working very well on the half forward wing combined well with Aaron Berry who got our next two points . Andrew Murphy then scored after a good move from midfield. Conor O Driscoll also got his second point of the first half. He was followed by Shane Bennett and a mighty point from kalen O Donoghue. Aaron Stafford showed some great pace and made it very difficult for Midleton to get out of their own half. They managed two more points towards the end of half to leave halftime score Aghada 0-10 . Midleton 0-3.

Daniel Creedon replaced Andrew Murphy for second half. Midleton got the first point of the half but Aaron Berry .Shane Bennett, Charlie Terry replied with a point each .Jack McDonnell showing very well at cornerback won every ball that came his way. Stephen Murphy came on for injured Jordan Tynan .Aaron Butler for Jack Farmer also injured. Midleton then got their fifth and last point  after a great save from Ciaran o Shea  rebound. Conor O Driscoll Shane Bennett getting his fifth point of the night made it fifteen points to five. Daniel Creedon scored from a free  and substitute Cian O Driscoll also scored from a placed ball. The  Man Of The Match award goes to Jack McDonnell who makes the game look very simple.
