Junior Hurling League Div 1

Lios gCul 1.19 Churchtown 0.22 A wonderfully entertaining hours hurling at Pairc Lios gCul on Sunday afternoon saw a sharing of the Imokilly / Avondhu League spoils between two evenly matched and competitive sides , where the lead see sawed to and fro throughout the well contested encounter .

Noel Connery applied the finishing touch to a well drilled team goal that included Alan Conroy and Maurice 'Connell in the build up . A series of excellent points from Rob Smart and John Cashman kept the umpires busy , and , whilst we struggled somewhat in some central locations , the last minute equaliser by Maurice O'Connell from an obtuse angle on the right wing was the least that the home side deserved from a very solid performance.

Junior Football League Div 1

Lios gCul 1.14 Carrigtwohill 3.04

A bitterly cold night last Monday saw us travel the short distance to near neighbours Carrigtwohill , where the clash of the blue and gold saw Timmy Mulcahy's charges return the back road with another brace of league points in the back pocket . This was a wonderful game , Monday Night Football at it's best , with four cracking goals keeping the heart beating and the hands warm throughout the hour.

Eoin Riordan lorded the aerial battle in the middle of the field , whilst man of the match Maurice O'Connell squirreled an impressive 1.04 over the hour . Eoin and Moss were best supported by the bustlingly impressive Wayne Kingston and the nimbly mobile Patrick O'Mahony , as Timmy's side gear up for an Aprils Fools Day Championship encounter against Erins Own at Carrigtwohill.

Under 13 Football League

Lios gCul 4.10 St Catherines 0.05

A brilliant performance by our young boys at a beautifully sunny Ballynoe venue on Sunday saw us return home with a pair of league points . Goals by Caolan O'Brien , Liam O'Shea and Sean Nagle powered our lads to victory where the goal scorers were best assisted by Shane Collins , Ciaran Cashman , Cian Healy , Liam Stack and Dylan Wright in a very good all round team performance.
