This weekend sees the opening round of the Dick Cahill Cup U21 football tournament. Sixteen clubs are participating and all first round games will be played over the weekend.

Glenville are in action on Tuesday night against Newcestown in Fouhy park at 7.30pm and will be the first game under the newly installed floodlights.

On Sunday the Intermediate side have their first outing of the season with a trip to Kinsale to play the home side in the Tom Creedon Cup at 2.30pm..

Last weekend the minor footballers suffered a very heavy defeat in the 2010 Co MAFL semi final against an exceptionally strong Valley Rovers side.

The team have still two more outings, both finals and this Sunday play Charleville in the Co MAHL final while the following week play Kiltha og in the MAFL final.No venue yet for these games.

The Junior Football league will be commencing in the next two weeks and training for all teams will begin at this weekend so everyone to attend .

Membership also to be paid as soon as possible to any club officer.
