Killeagh Notes

28 November, 2010

Lotto - There was no winner of last week's lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 8,15,36. Next week's jackpot stands at €1,800.
AGM - Last week we held our AGM in the clubhouse which was very well attended by both players and other members. A detailed annual report by our outgoing secretary Tracey Kennedy was delivered, while Ray Dwyer gave a very detailed financial report which showed just how important fundraising and support will be for the club over the coming years. Tim Crotty also paid tribute to our outgoing secretary Tracey Kennedy for her fantastic work over the last number of years and at this stage we would like to congratulate her on becoming Secretary of the East Cork Board which is a great honour for her and the club. We would also like to congratulate John Pender who has been honoured as Club President. Tim Crotty was re-elected as Club Chairman, Vice-Chairman Kieren Scully, Ger Collins has been elected Club Secretary, Ray Dwyer as Treasurer, Ger Scully remains on as Senior Manager, Ray Rochford takes over Junior management, Noel Long and Caoimhin O'Driscoll remain in charge of Junior football. Congratulations to all concerned and best of luck in your relative positions.
Sports Prophet - The player's fundraising fund Sport's Prophet was won by Ruairi Crowley who received €500 in winnings, in second place was Padraig McCarthy who won €200 and in third place was Dave O'Leary who won €100.
Inch Ladies Football - Inch ladies will contest the All-Ireland Final for the third time on Sunday December the 5th at 2pm in Banagher in County Offaly. Their opponents once again are Carnacon of Mayo. It is vital that every member of club and parish make every effort to support the girls in their endevour to bring back All-Ireland glory to this club and parish. There is a supporters bus leaving the village on Sunday morning at 9:15am and there are still some seats available. Anybody interested contact Tom Goggin. We would like to wish Noel and all the panel the very best of luck.
Dinnerdance - Small note in your diary for the New Year. The dinnerdance is fixed for the 15th of January in Garryvoe Hotel. This is not a fundraising event, it is a social event for all those involved in our club and it has always been a thoroughly enjoyable night out for all those who attend.
Note - Please continue to support our club lotto. Tickets available from club members and parish outlets. Anyone interested in selling tickets contact Sean Treacy.
