Eochaill Óg's Trick or Treat

On Saturday October 30th Eochaill Óg celebrated Halloween by hosting a superb Halloween party for all juvenile members, family and friends. Organised by the Parent's Committee under the supervision of Jillian Corcoran they transformed Club Arás into a series of witches' caves, vampire's coffins and decorated the hall with skeletons, ghosts and scary monsters. A fantastic team of face painters and artists were on duty during the afternoon entertaining the kids culminating with many Halloween Posters decorated by our young players.

On entry each child was given a goodie bag and entertained for 2 hrs with arts & crafts, face painting, halloween games and a disco by DJ Barry C. Over 200 kids really enjoyed themselves, danced and played away the afternoon heading home exhausted but looking forward to the weekend's Halloween activities. Numerous kids won spot prizes for their dancing, party pieces, musical statues etc. Rory Fitzgerald, Aoife O'Reilly Fox, Conor McAradle & Morgan Twohig won the colouring competition while Natasha O'Reilly won best adult costume. All in all a tremendous afternoon's entertainment and many thanks to the Parent's Committee for organising the event and to parents who helped clean up afterwards. Here's to our next event the Kids Christmas Party.

Gaelic4Girls Quiz Night

Our Gaelic4Girls Program has been running for 8 weeks with over 90 girls from the ages of 8 to 13 coached on the basics skills of Gaelic Football every Saturday. We now move on to a National Blitz Day in Clonmel on Saturday November 20th where we will play teams from Cork, Clare, Tipperary, Wexford, Galway, Dublin & Laois. As part of this program we have also been invited to play in Croke Park next June where all the clubs across the country involved in Gaelic4Girls will showcase their skills on the hallowed ground, which will be a day to remember for the girls and the families. To cover the cost of participating in the Blitz Day in Clonmel a Quiz and Disco has been organised for Friday 5th November @ 8pm in Club Aras where we're hoping to see a great crowd on the night to support this great bunch of kids. All welcome.

The cost of entering the quiz is €10 (teams will be formed on the

night) or €40 per team of 4 which also covers the following;

• Entry into quiz (Prizes for 1st & 2nd) – format consists of general

knowledge, rounds based on TV game shows, fun betting round where

strategy is key and negative marking can drop you quickly down leader

board or if your gamble comes off you could leap frog to the top &

finishing off with a penalty shoot out between top 2 teams to decide

winner

• Entry for all participants in draw for significant prizes

• 1 strip of cloak room tickets for spot prize draw (more can be bought on night)

• Snacks & finger food

• Disco with DJ Barry to finish the night away

As a spin of from the Juvenile girls football, Ladies Football has also started in Youghal with training commencing on Wednesday 3rd November @ 7:30pm. If any one is interested in joining the either the Ladies Fotoball team or Gaelic4Mothers contact Caitriona Bulman 0861951128.
