Feile Peil na nOg 2011

21 October, 2010

The Féile na nÓg 2011 Committee is now inviting applications from Cork Clubs who wish to participate in Féile Peil 2011.

As you are aware, Cork is hosting this prestigious competition which affords us an opportunity to showcase the strength of Cumann Lúthchleas Gael in our County.

Cork will host 48 teams, so 48 Cork Clubs are required. The Féile Committee is in the process of Grading teams across the County in the following manner - Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, Division 4, Division 5 and Division 6. Division 6 will be 12-a-side and will be offered to Clubs who have a low membership base. 8 teams from Cork will be required for each Division. Féile takes place in Cork from July 1 to July 3 (incl) 2011 and for players born in 1997 and younger.

Once Clubs have indicated their interest, the Committee will review the applications and offer Clubs a place in one of the 6 Divisions.

Below is a BRIEF outline of what is expected of host Clubs:
  • Fee of €150 on acceptance of application
  • Panel of 24 players + 3 mentors: Provide Team Photo
  • Club to have completed Garda Vetting Application Forms
  • Host Families for 24 players from outside Cork + 3 mentors : again families will have to complete Garda Vetting Forms
