The footballers went down to a strong Erins Own in the League at home last Monday week. The Village were short a number of regulars but acquitted them well nonetheless.

The hurlers had a good win over Killeagh in the League last Wednesday evening. Displaying a nice brand of hurling they never allowed their opponents any time or space. We play our last league game in Cobh this Friday evening at 7.30pm (under lights). The semi-final of the championship has not been fixed yet as we are still awaiting the winners of the quarter final.

The Boys U-10s took part in the blitz finals in Aghada last Saturday morning. Twenty five eager young lads turned up and the coaches were more than delighted to see such numbers. Due to the numbers it was impossible to play everyone at the one time but the club prides itself in giving everyone a fair chance with the coaches ensuring that all kids got game time.

As usual the players again performed to the best of their ability and showed great passion in the jersey. No doubt we have talented players as our disposal and hopefully some of the younger u-10s can develop their skills even further over the coming years. As any spectator there on Saturday can testify to, the future for hurling in The Village is very bright indeed.

Defibrillator Training

Any member interested in Defibrillator Training should contact Dougie at 086 0609737. When sufficient number express an interest the Committee can organise a training session.

Recycling Incentive

Don't forget that any printer cartridges, mobile phones etc. are still being collected at the clubhouse. This is a scheme the Club has in place in conjunction with Meals on Wheels where cartridges and phones among other items are collected for recycling. Saturday morning might be a good time to pop down as training takes place that morning. Contact any Committee member with a full list of items for collection.
