Extra Trains have been made available by Iarnrod Eireann from Cork to Dublin on Sunday, 19th September 2010 for the long awaited All-Ireland Football Final clash between Cork and Down in the senior final and Cork-v-Tyrone in the minor final.

Iarnród Éireann said today – “A total of five trains have been provided to cater for the expected demand by Cork GAA fans wishing to travel to support their county teams (minor and senior) in this years All-Ireland Football Finals and seats are still available.”

On Sunday morning the 19th September alone - Four trains are scheduled to depart Kent Station Cork and a fifth train will depart Millstreet and Banteer stations for Dublin - for this years All-Ireland Football Finals.

Trains will depart Kent Station, Cork at 07.30hrs, 07.50hrs, 08.30hrs, and 10.30hrs and all trains will serve Mallow and Charleville. The fifth train will depart Millstreet at 08.12hrs and serve Banteer at 08.23hrs, Mallow at 08.39hrs before arriving in Dublin Heuston Station at 11.05hrs.

Gaa fans can choose to return on any available train returning from Dublin on Sunday night or Monday.

Seats are also available on trains from Cork to Dublin on Friday and Saturday and returning from Dublin to Cork on Monday – and if customers are flexible with regards to their travel plans – they will be able to purchase one of Iarnrod Éireann’s great value web only fares - i.e. *€10.00 each way from Cork to Dublin (* = only available on-line and subject to availability, terms and conditions)

Priority will be given to customers who have booked their rail tickets on-line or through the telesales number.
