Glenville GAA News

Off the field the big news this week was the Glenville lotto was one .The winner was Francis Sweeney who won the €3800 prize, Francis was a former Glenville footballer and brought a degree of fear to every full back that came his way!.A great night was had in Bunnaglanna on Tuesday night. Well done Francis.

Not much in the way of games this week. We were down to play Intermediate county league game and junior football but both of these games had to be postponed due to the bereavement in the Sweeney and Cronin families. The club sends their condolences on their sad losses.

This week the junior footballers play Lisgoold in the league on Thursday night in Lisgoold at 7.30pm.

Youghal come to Glenville for an U10 football league game.

But the big game next week is the replay of the County Premier Intermediate Football championship against Carrigaline. Two evenly matched sides played a very entertaining game in Páirc Uí Rinn a few weeks ago and they go at it on next Tuesday due to the Cork footballers playing on Sunday involving Nicholas Murphy again in Páirc Uí Rinn. Support greatly appreciated. Time for the game is 6.30pm and in the event of a draw extra time will be played.
