Junior A Championship
Lios gCul v St Ita's - at Ballinacurra , on Monday June 28th at 7.30 . At the time of printing , this game has not been played , but a full report on this game will be here next week .
Our Minor Hurlers also continue their on field activities after their "examination break" with a home Minor Hurling League "B" clash , and an examination of their "hurling" rather than "academic" abilities , against Carrig na bhFearr on next Monday , 5th July .
Meanwhile , best wishes to our Under 11 hurlers and their managers Liam Ruane and Paul Whelan , in their upcoming Munster Championship campaign . Ever since Maurice O'Connell led his Junior B side into Munster Championship action a short number of years ago , our teams are , thankfully , getting used to intercounty action . The lads kick off their reign as Cork County Champions with a match against Clare representatives next Monday 5th in Kilmallock , and we wish the team , their mentors and parents a most pleasant journey to Kilmallock ... and beyond . Best of luck lads.
An Extraordinary General Meeting of Lisgoold GAA Club , held last Monday 21st in the Community Centre , was attended by a large crowd , and the meeting was excited to hear of the ground development plans , as announced and advised by Chairman John Joe Regan . The ambitious plans , which will see the Club marry an off field development programme with the on field work being actively pursued by so many willing volunteers within the Club . "It is that Club Spirit" , said John Joe , "that will take this Club to the next level , both on and off the field".

Numbers 13 , 23 and 27 were the lucky balls pulled from the hat on Tuesday , and , as no entrant chose these numbers , the Weekly Club Jackpot sees another rollover this week . As there was no winner , the pot continues to grow as a result . Make sure you pick your lucky numbers early next week as sales may well be brisk !

Whilst we had no overall winner , those who won consolation prizes were John Joe Regan, David O Sullivan, Timothy Geary and John T Keeffe.

Last week's teaser asked " who is the Chairman of Lisgoold Juvenile Club" , the answer being Dermott McCarthy . This week's poser asks if you know"who scored the first Lisgoold score in our Hurling Championship opener against St Ita's last Monday night ? ". The answer will be provided , as usual ,next week .
