MATCHES
Limited enough competetive on field action this week , as Mike Woods' side limber up for Championship action at the end of June . A very entertaining challenge game vs Kilworth saw the visitors to Pairc Lios gCul take away a hard fought victory by a slender 2.12 to 1.12 scoreline . Like most Clubs we were limited to field without the exam tied Rob , John and Alan (and indeed best wishes to all our players and neighbours in the upcoming State Examinations). Noel Connery , Dave Barry and Maurice O'Connell impressed throughout , while Barry Ahern revelled in the more withdrawn role in the seconmd period .

QUICK QUIZ ?

Last week's teaser asked "who was captain of the FIRST East Cork Under 12 Football Championship winning Lisgoold side ? The answer was that it was Liam Mulcahy who held , and indeed will always hold that honour . Caolan O'Brien held this particular trophy aloft recently and followed in Liam's proud footprints . This week's poser searches the memory banks , and asks " Which GAA President officially opened Pairc Lios gCul in 1995 ?". Answer next week .
