Decky Guckian League

Match report ~ Carrigtwohill & Midleton games

Youghals epic run in the Decky Guckian League came to an end with two defeats in a week. First up were a classy Midleton side. Youghal held their own for most of the opening period but in the end, they couldn't get to grips with the Midleton lads and lost despite putting up a brave battle.

Next up was an away trip to Carrigtwohill who blew the Youghal lads away in the opening period. It was a case of sink or swim and the Youghal lads ran Carrig ragged for the rest of the match. But too much damage was done in the first 10 minutes and Carrigtwohill held on for a win.

The best of luck to both Carrigtwohill & Midleton for the remainder of the league, any team that can beat this bunch of lads will go a long way! Many thanks to the parents and supporters for all the miles they travelled all spring and all the support they gave the kids from the sideline. Most importantly, thanks to the whole panel of lads who gave everything ever time they put on the Youghal Jersey. They now know that they can compete at the highest level. Finally, thanks to Cian O'Connor and the Glen Rovers club for organising the Decky Guckian League.
