All quiet on the playing fields this week , as Timmy's Footballers gear up for the next round of Championship action where we will face our 2009 conquerors Cloyne in Round 3, and Mike's Hurlers continue their longer term planning .

Peafield was awash with celebrations on Sunday as a huge number of friends and family gathered to celebrate the milestone of Willie Walsh's 90th birthday . Looking hale , fresh and hearty , Willie was in great form as he recounted , with remarkable clarity and recall , the events over the wonderful journey of almost the last century . All in CLCG Lios gCul extend congratulations to you Willie .

Since Aaron Sheehan's great win a few weeks back, the Club Lotto Jackpot has not been won , and we had another rollover this week , where the winning numbers drawn from the drum were 8, 16 and 27. Consolation prize winners were Noel O'Riordan , Denis Burns, Cole Gray, Paddy O'Keeffe.Additionally , congratulations to Donal Barry who won €150 in the Cork County Board GAA Draw . Many thanks to Donal , and all of those who contribute to the Club Revenues by contributing to the County Board Draw and the Club Weekly Lotto , which are two crucial fundraising avenues for the Club.

Last week's question was "who captained Lisgoold in the Junior B County Final defeat in 2003" , the answer to which was that it was Brendan Healy who led the team to the final where we unfortunately fell to St Colm's at Pairc ui Chaoimh . This week's teaser is "In what year did Mike Cronin play corner back for Cork in the All Ireland Minor Hurling Final vs. Kilkenny ?"
