The Munster B grade hurling championship game between Lisgoold and Bruee in Newtownshandrum last Sun was a downer for the East Cork side when they lost by the narrowest of margins 1-5 to 7 points. Lisgoold had plenty of chances and contributed to their own downfall. 11wides a missed semi penalty and a ball dropped in the net put paid to any chance the East Cork side had of winning.
