In the Dick Cahill cup, Imokilly senior footballers had their 1st run out last mon night in Moran abbey against a slick Clyda side. While the home side won well on the score board our lads put it up to Clyda but failed to finish when needed. The Imokilly management were happy enough with the outing. While the night was bad the field and lights were excellent and a credit to the home side. Imokilly lined out as follows in goal David Hyde Fr. O’Neills Rob O’Donoghue Fr. O’Neills, Michael Kearney Bride Rv, Charles Smart Lisgoold, Don Riordan Glenville, Brendan Healy Glenville, Kevin O’Brien Ballinacurra, Shane Horgan Carrignavar, Denis Buttermur Glenville, and Brian McCarthy Fr. O’Neills, Colm O’Reilly Carrignavar, Joe Culloty Glenville, Sean Long Killeagh, Wayne Kingston Lisgoold, Brian Cosgrave Glenville. Subs used Eoin McCarthy Fr. In the same competition Glenville had a narrow win over Ballinora in Fouhy Park last Sunday. Despite the bad weather the game contained some fine football with the Muskerry leading at short whistle by 1-8 to 0-5. On the resumption Glenville fought back and finished the better wining by the narrowest of margins 1-12 to 1-11.

The Munster B grade hurling championship game between Lisgoold and Bruee fixed for last week is on today in Newtownshandrum with a 2-30 throw in. best of luck to Lisgoold.
