EuroDisney's Paris Resort boasts some very fine family attractions , the centrepiece of which is the "Rock'N'Rollercoaster" . Disney claim the ride as "the rollercoaster experience of your life". Well , sorry Walt , but you're wrong ! For the "rollercoaster experience of your life" there was only one place to be , and that was Carrigtwohill last Sunday , as Lisgoold and Cobh went hammer and tongs to provide a first round proper winner in the East Cork Junior A Football Championship . This game had so many twists and turns , and so many ups and downs , that , by its conclusion , the large watching support base was left exhausted and drained.

That we came out on top after ninety minutes (plus) of pulsating action says everything about the will to win , never say die attitude and desire of Tim Mulcahy's charges. The final score , the twenty ninth score of the tie, was scored by Michael O'Se in the third minute of injury time in extra time , an "outside of the boot" beauty which capped a lung bursting individual drive up the field from his wing back berth.

Where forwards win games , backs win Championships , and Timmy has settled upon a solid rearguard where Jamie Hurley and Charile McCarthy were solidity personified. Eoin O'Riordan again lorded the skies in "lar na pairce" whilst the ageless Kevin O'Shea rolled back the years with a point scoring exhibition , tallying five fine scores thought the game . It's been a policy of Tim to allow youth to flourish , and the debut handed to young John McCarthy was repaid handsomely with a performance that must have the Cork Minor Football selectors sitting up and taking some notice . One particular rasper (which led to Johnsy's goal) probably still has the frame of the goal in Carrig shaking .

All in all , the "bouncebackability" factor we were looking for certainly was delivered , and we await the draw drum and our opponents in Round 3.
