U16 camogie league champs

Our u16s finished the 2021 season on a high when they faced Enniskeane in the u16 A league final. Youghal where in control from the start and where 3 points up at the first water break. They extended this lead to 8 by the half time whistle.  Youghal started well and an early second half goal but 10 between the sides. Enniskeane replied with a goal up the end. Youghal fought back and replied with another goal!  Youghal where 9 points up at the second half water break. Credit to Enniskeane who  came out very strong in the last quarter. But they where unable to bridge the gap. Full time score youghal 3-12 Enniskeane 2-10.

U 10/11/12 Parish leagues Camogie final 2021.

Our parish leagues took place over the mid term holidays where over 60 girls from our club aged between 10 and 12 took part. We had 6 teams with a minimum of 10 girls per team. They each played each other in a round robin format over two days and the finals were held on Wednesday night, November 3rd. The skill and determination shown through all the matches was evident on the night. It was great to see the u12 girls lead out their younger team mates on to the field proudly behind the piper. But once that whistle was blown, it was clash of the ash, no matter your age! Many an u 10 was seen chasing and dispossession an u 12 in full flight, it gave all the managers great encouragement!
Our 3 Finals were, The Camogie Crackers V The puck out Sisters The Ball Alley Rebels V Boots and Skorts
The Gliter Sliotars V Girls who Hurl.
Thanks has to be given to so many people for making this all happen,
To Dan and Paul in Brunch and Deli for the sponsorship of the cups and medals. To Brian Hennessy in Sports and Leisure for his sponsorship of the match bibs. To Ned o Connell interiors for the great goodie bags
To Ross Cashman Electrical for the Match sliotars all year.
To Hill Construction for the wall ball/sliotars for each of the girls to take home.
To Darragh Martin from CB Forms for the printing of the keepsake programms.
To Noel Cronin, Christy Mc Carthy and to all the refs over the few days, thankyou.
To our u 16 county champion team who came up to encourage all the girls and present them with their medals.
A Massive thankyou to our clubs Stalwarts, Ann and Maurice Cronin for the fantastic pictures from all their matches. These are precious memories the girls will cherish for many years to come. Go raibh maith agat.
Thank you to all the managers and selectors, who very enthusiastically took each team on as if they were their own children!! The fun and banter on the side lines was great at each match! Davy fitz better watch out, we have a few of our own!!
Thank you to all the parents and families for their support all year. It’s always evident in a child when there is a Mammy/Daddy/Brother/Sister etc shouting support from the side line. Your support of our club and encouragement to the children is always welcome and very much appreciated. Last but by no means least, thank you to each and every one of the girls involved, ye did yourself, your families and your club very proud and the future of Youghal Camogie Club is very safe in your hands!
