FIXTURES

Junior B Hurling League Russell Rovers vs Dungourney at 7.15 on Tuesday August 24 th in Shanagarry.

MATCHES

The intermediate team has played a number of challenge matches over the last couple of weeks in preparation for the Championship ,games against Cloughdubh Carrignavar,Kilbrittain and Tracton have been very competitive and are helping Martin and his back room team to nail down his starting fifteen.

ALL IRELAND MINOR HURLING FINAL

The All Ireland Minor Hurling Final takes place in Thurles on Saturday evening next in Thurles against Galway ,our own Jack Leahy is playing well at the moment and we wish Jack and his fellow Cork players the very best on the night.
There will be a big Dungourney contingent travelling to the match ,great to see all the youngsters heading up for the occasion.
Years of hard work and training go in to being on a team like this ,I have often been in the pitch in Dungourney over the last few years and more often than not Jack has been there practising practicing practicing ...he's a great example for young players.

ALL IRELAND HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINAL
CORK 1-37 Kilkenny 1-32

A big Dungourney contingent were in Croke Park to see Cork defeat Kilkenny in the All Ireland Hurling Semi final ,every corner  that I went to I met a local it was great to see it.
The rebels were worthy winners as Pat Horgan and co battled for every ball and they stormed ahead in extra team to win by five points our first win in seven games in the capital. Christine our secretary did a great job sourcing tickets for the match and again has got a good number of seats for the final.
A draw was made last weekend for paid up members last weekend where the tickets were allotted to the lucky recipients.

ALL IRELAND SENIOR HURLING FINAL
LIMERICK VS CORK

Croke park is the destination for forty odd thousand Hurling supporters on Sunday next with Cork determined to dethrone the champions Limerick.
Demand for tickets is immense as the capacity is only half the normal amount but as I have said above Dungourney will have a good crowd travelling.
Limerick are the raging hot favourites but Cork are quietly confident and we are all preparing ourselves for a pulsating final.

COME ON THE REBELS!!!!!!

ALL IRELAND U20 HURLING FINAL

What a year for Cork hurling as the Under 20s take on Galway in their All Ireland Final on Wednesday August 18th in Thurles.
Best of luck to Ciaran Joyce and Darragh Moran of Kiltha Og who are both on the Cork panel.

EAST CORK JUNIOR HURLING FINAL

Well done to our neighbors Lisgoold on their great win over Harbour Rovers in the Cork Junior Hurling final ,great to see another East Cork team up Intermediate.
Lisgoold have been there or thereabouts in the East Cork over the last number of years so it's great to see them fulfill their potential.
