Carrignavar make up for losing the A final when they lifted the Michael Boig O'Colemain Cup for the 5th time last Sat 22nd in Glenville against a gallant Bride Rvs side that fought all the way. One point all at half time a first of this scribe but what it lacked in scores it made up for in intensity.

On resumption we had two scores with in a minute as both teams exchanged points. Slowly Carrig got on top with points on the 4th and 9th minutes to pull ahead the rovers replied with one on the 15th m them came the goal that put Carrig clear and one felt that they would pull away but no back came the rovers with two points in as minutes. as we entered the final ten minutes, The Rovers tried ever thing but Carrig held on for dear live. Rovers pointed to leave the bare minimum between the sides as time ran out. Final score

In the county minor B football league semi final Aghada play Ilen Rv in Ballineen with a 2-30 thrown in

In the Championship Clann Na Gael had one point to spare over Ilen Rovers 2-08 to 0-13 and we know what the games were like between Clann and Aghada so this should be another cracker and well worth travelling to.

Carrig will have their work cut out here as the Skibb lads have the county championship already in the bag. Still Carrig are county u16 premier champions and that should count for some thing. This game is timed for 2-30 in Kilmurry. Finally in Ballincollig at 2-30 Castlelyons play Sam Maguire’s in the County Minor B Hurling League semi-Final. The form should favour the Castlelyons boys and they should advance to the final.
