U21 Football Final 2009
This final which was due to be played this Friday night in Carrigtwohill night has been cancelled due to our own Patrick Cronin being a member of the Cork Vocational football team who play the All Ireland final on saturday next against Monaghan,Patrick has a great in the semi final against Meath and we wish him the very best next weekend in the final.
Glenville had a 1-8 to 1-5 win over near neighbours Carrignavar in Fouhy park on Saturday evening last.Glenville were well ahead at half time and were under the cosh for a while in the second half but did enough to eek out a win in the end.
Both semi finals were played last weekend and St Vincents had a good win over CIT on a score of 2-10 to 1-10 while on Monday night in Fouhy park Donoughmore and Passage squared up to each in the other semi final.After a keenly fought game Passage came through at the end on a score of 1-8 to 0-9.
The Intermediate league programme starst this weekend with a very tough assignment against one of the top senior sides, Bishopstown.
