Cork County Intermediate Hurling Championship Dungourney vs Argideen Rangers on Saturday August 1st at 5 pm in Ballinora.
The Intermediate Hurling Championship finally gets going next Saturday when we take on Argideen Rangers in the first of three round robin games.
I’m sure that Martin and his team are rearing to go in their bid for a place in the quarter finals,it won’t be easy though as Argideen are no bad side and Dungourney will have to be at their best to prevail.
The team has played a number of challenge matches over the last few weeks and though our panel is small they have given a good account of themselves which bodes well for the upcoming matches ,we wish the best of luck to everyone involved.
Of course the new Covid restrictions now limit the attendance at games to two hundred people ,this includes everybody .....teams,officials match day stewards county board officials etc etc.
What this means for supporters is that only eighty tickets remain for followers of the two teams and even then anybody who has bought a season ticket from the County Board has first chance to buy a ticket.
What tickets remain will go on sale on ticketmaster/Universe ,the club will be issued a code and those who want a ticket will have to have this code when purchasing.
Nobody will be allowed entry without a ticket .....it seems strange to have two banks on each side of the pitch with only eighty people out in the open air attending a match but these are the regulations and we have to adhere to them.
We will be putting the scores up on twitter and we have got to hope that the game will be covered on the radio because it’s a game that a lot of people are interested in.

Killeagh 2-11 Dungourney 0-11
Dungourney made the short journey to Killeagh on Saturday night last to play the home side ,it was the second match of the year for this team and they performed very well against a good Killeagh side.
After trailing at half time on a score of 1-06 to 0-04 we put up a great display in the second half against the strong breeze and though we were beaten you could see a big improvement on the last outing.
