Kieran O'Connor, RIP

16 July, 2020

We were extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Kieran O'Connor Aghada who lost his three year battle with Ewing's Sarcoma yesterday at the age of 41.  From an early age Kieran showed signs of being a great sportsman excelling at athletics before making his debut for Aghada in 1996, then going on to make the Cork minor team and under 21.  Under Billy Morgan in 2004 he made his senior debut and this led him to winning three Munster medals and one All Ireland along with three Division 1 and one Divison two honours.  He continued to be involved with Aghada GAA Club and he also had a keen interest in horse racing but we know that his family meant everything him and our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Sinead, children Isabelle, Ava and James, parents Pat and Mary, brothers and sister.
