MAIN SPONSOR BARRY,MARTIN AND KENNEDY AUCTIONEERS Activity was thin on the ground with the only game being the U15 football championship game v Russell Rovers in Shangarry on saturday morning.Glenville gave a good display and eventhough starting slow enough going 3 points to nil down .they slowly began to get into the game and were the better team on the day winning out by 1-11 to 2-5 in the end,they play Aghada in the next round this weekend so check locally for time and venue. With no league game last weekend the junior footballers played north cork side Shanbalymore in a challange game and won by a point 1-5 to 0-9. This weekend sees the junior team in action in the div 1 league on monday night at 7.45 v Lisgoold in Fouhys while on Saturday the minors kick off the season with a game in fouhys at 4pm v Carrignavar. The Kelleher shield league begins on feb 27th where Glenville are away to Bishopstown and following week we have a home game to O Donovan Rossa from Skibbereen, We are in Div 2 of the county league this year and have Newcestown,Kiskeam,Aghada,St Nicks,Mallow,Beara,Valley Rovers and Na Piarsaigh also in our group. Minor draw was made last week and Glenville play Erins Own in the first round of the minor A Fooball championship.This game is due to take place in the beginning of April, The 2009 U21 football final between Glenville and Glanmire is now fixed for fri feb 26th in Carrigtohill at 7.30. U21 tournament This competition is down to semi final stage with CIT playing St Vincents thursday night in Cit and fri night sees Donoughmore playing Passage in fouhys at 8 30.
