Mick Bowen RIP

06 February, 2020

All at The East Cork Board extend our condolences to the family of Michael Bowen Knockraha.  Donal, Martin, Gerard, Bernie, John and extended family our thoughts and prayers are with you all at the sad passing of Mick after a short illness.

Mick was involved in various Clubs in his Community all his life.  His main involvement was with Erin's Own and his commitment to the Club knew no bounds.  He was especially involved in the Juvenile Club and was Delegate to the East Cork Board for many years.  Mick also had a great love of horses and travelled regularly to the point to points throughout the County and various racing festivals including Galway, Killarney and Punchestown.  Mick was a great dancer, he loved music and he regularly went dancing.  He was a very popular likeable man and never had a bad word to say about anyone.  He was always willing to chat and discuss the topics of the day but especially the GAA and his beloved Erin's Own.  A true Gael and a Gentleman and his absence will be felt far beyond his own area.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
