Intermediate Hurling Club All Ireland semi-final:

These are exciting times to say the least for the Club and the Parish overall with huge excitement building this week with the run up to Croke Park. 14 years on from that famous day on the 12th Feb. 2006 when Jer. Holland climbed the steps of the Hogan stand to be presented with the All Ireland Junior Hurling Cup here we are again only an hour away from repeating the feat. To do this once is a fabulous achievement for any Club but to be in a position to do it again at another level is monumental to say the least and whatever the result next Sat. this bunch of players have written their own piece of history in Fr. O’Neills and their names will be remembered for many a day to come. The amount of goodwill shown to the Club over the last couple of weeks from various companies and organizations has been superb and I would like to take this opportunity to Thank everyone for their more than generous contributions towards the preparation and welfare of the panel and their Mgmt. Team next weekend. There won’t be many left in the Parish come Saturday evening with stories of supporters travelling by large and small buses and like 2006 the same group minus a couple who have gone to their eternal reward have hired a stretch Limo for the weekend. It will be a great weekend and everyone is eagerly looking forward to it with a huge amount of supporters booked into Hotels all over the North side of Dublin. The lads have trained and prepared well over the last 2 weeks and will be 100% ready by the time 6pm on Sat. evening comes around. What a day to look forward to for everyone in the Club and Parish especially now that our near neighbours will be with us on the day, Their game goes ahead at 4pm and I would encourage everyone travelling to Dublin to be in Croke Park early to support Rsl. Rovers in their endeavors to become All Ireland Jnr. Hurling Champions for 2019, so the best of luck to our full panel and both Mgmt. & Backroom Teams on Saturday.
