Happy New Year.

Greetings for the New Year from the Bride Rovers GAA Club. Hopefully 2020 will bring joy, happiness and great sporting days for everyone. It will be a historic year for the GAA at local and national level. Here in Cork we have a whole new Championship Format. We will have to re-opening of Pairc UI Chaoimh and everyone is looking forward to seeing games on a brilliant surface. A new GAA President will be elected and hopefully will try and sort out the Club scene and ensure our inter County scene doesn't be the only show in town, so busy times all around. As we edge towards our Club Centenary in 2028 we have exciting plans with the development of Scannell's Field high on our priority list. We are so grateful to those who have supported our Club 100 Initiative over the last two seasons. We will shortly be seeking new patrons for this scheme which is vital for our future development.

Well Done Roches.

Well done to Brian and Eoin Roche who donned the Cork Senior Hurling jersies in the Munster SHL  game v Kerry last week.

The Jackpot for the first draw of 2020 which was held in the Rathcormac Inn  on Wednesday 1st January was €20,000. . Tickets for the Weekly Lotto cost just €2 each and can be purchased from Club members and in local business outlets. Tickets can also be purchased online at locallotto.ie

We are very grateful to each and everyone who regularly supports the Weekly Lotto as the funds raised are vital for the day to day running of the Club. An Annual Lotto Ticket can also be purchased for €90 and would be a great present for a GAA supporter for the New Year. Great Win For Fermoy.

Well done to Fermoy on winning the County u21 A grade Hurling title on the Weekend before Christmas with a mighty win over Newcestown. In 2018 we won the title bringing the Jim Sarsfield Trophy to the banks of the Bride for the first time and now it's just gone in the road. Well done to all the Fermoy Players and mentors on a super victory.

East Cork Clubs Seek Croke Park Dates.

All in Bride Rovers extend the very best wishes to Fr O Neills Intermediate team and Russell Rovers Junior team as they contest All Ireland Club Semi Finals this weekend coming. Let's hope both can reach the Finals in Croke Park for a unique double header.
