JUNIOR FOOTBALL Lios gCul 1.09 Carrig na bhFearr 0.09 A super start to competitive action for Tim Mulcahy's charges in Junior League action on a beautifully sunny Saturday afternoon in Carrig na bhFearr , where , powered by the superbly fit Ciaran Cronin and the athletic J P O'Brien , we took the brace of league points on offer . John Cronin , continuing his early season goal-a-game record , notched the crucial three pointer that separated the sides at the long whistle . Elsewhere , Mossy O'Connell and the ageless Kevin O'Shea were the pick of an emerging Lisgoold side.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

For the "super organised" amongst us , here's a date for your diary ! The provisional date for the Junior Football Championship tie with Midleton has been scheduled for 13 Mar . That's only giving you 5 weeks notice ! No venue has been agreed upon as of yet , and , I'm sure that we'll read and hear much more about this fixture in the next few weeks.

LOTTO

Numbers 2 , 8 and 9 were the lucky balls pulled from the hat last week in the weekly lotto draw , and , once again , we had no winner . Consolation prize winners , each winning €15 were Majella Roche, Jer O Connell, Liam Walsh and Margaret O Keeffe.

The next draw takes place at Tattans on 9 Feb, when the jackpot will be €2500 .
