Under 15's win Premier 2 Football Cup.

We travelled to Pairc Ui Chaoimh last Saturday to take on St Nick's in the Premier 2a under15 football challenge cup Final. With  heavy rain in the previous days getting a pitch was a problem. Well done to Rebel Og Central for getting the use of the 4G All Weather Pitch at Pairc UI Chaoimh which was great for a Competition Final. We played against a strong wind in the first half with St. Nick's getting the first second scores. It took our lads a while to settle playing football on the astro for the first time but when they did we played some lovely stuff and going in at half time two points up, 1 4 to 0  5 with our goal coming from Cillian Tobin. We played very well in the second half using the wind to deliver great ball into our forward line. Tough the city side added two goals to make it a tight contest our lads stayed in control. Louie Roche netted our second goal and we ended up running out winners on a scoreline of 2-8 to 2-6 It was great win for a great team. They have competed tremendously well this year at both hurling and football. Proud Captain  Conor Hazelwood was presented with  the cup at the end of an entertaining game. Well done toall  the players and mentors for a superb year.

On this  Friday  November the 6th the Juvenile Club will hold their annual table Quiz in the Rathcormac Inn at 8.30pm. Tables of 4 are €40 with all proceeds towards the funding of the Juvenile Club. Anyone who regularly reads these notes will have noticed that over the last five or six years the number of games played at juvenile level from under 6 to under 18 has increased by about 300%, a massive increase. It's great to have such numbers of players coming up through the ranks but costs a lot to run the Juvenile Section. Friday night is both a major fundraiser and an evening of fun and craic as well at the end of a wonderful season. Please come out and support this Quiz.

The numbers drawn on Tuesday October 22nd were 1,3,7 and 18 and there was no winner. The prizes of €30 went to Annette O Flynn, Aoibhin & Olan O Driscoll, B O Driscoll, Donal Ryan and Tadhg O Donovan. Jackpot for Tuesday October 29th was €20,000

At present our Premier 2 Under 21 Hurling championship game  Inniscarra or Aghabullogue is down for Sunday two weeks November 23rd..

We qualified for the JUL Div 2 Final a while back with a win over Midleton. The Magpies were then level with Carrigtwohill on points so had to play a semi final but this week came the news that Carrig pulled out so now we will be paying Midleton in the Final which may be fixed for this weekend or if not the following weekend.

At the time of writing we had noe fixture in the East Cork Junior C HC but this may have been changed at the East Cork Board meeting on Wednesday night in Lisgoold.

Bord Oirthear Chorcaí invites all clubs in the Division to a Teacht le
Chéile/Get Together at Club Áras CLG, Eochaill on this  Friday 8th November
2019 ag a 7.30 pm.
The brainchild of Nollaig Ó hÓgáin, Eochaill, it is especially for the
senior members of our clubs (former players, officials,
administrators), who may enjoy meeting, talking and reminiscing about
games and events of yesteryear.
We think that this is a great opportunity for all clubs to reach out
to members and friends, who may not be as active as heretofore and to
show that they are all still welcome in the GAA family.

All are welcome once they are over 21.
