31 October, 2019

On Saturday, 19th October, the presentation of the Oliver Brennan Memorial Cup was made by the Brennan Family and Glanmire GAA to the East Cork Board in Vienna Woods Hotel. The cup has been created in recognition of Oliver, who sadly passed away in April 2018, after a life of dedication and hard work to Glanmire GAA, with many years given serving the club as a coach, administrator and ultimately Club President. Olivers wife, Aileen, son Michael and Members of the extended Brennan family were present on the night to present the cup on behalf the family and Glanmire GAA to Donal O'Keeffe and Michael O'Brien, the respective Chairman and Secretary of the East Cork Board.

The Board were delighted to be able to accept the cup, and this cup will be used for a perpetual East Cork Intermediate Championship, which will take place on an Annual basis. We would like to thank the Board and the Brennan Family for allowing the club the opportunity to commemorate Oliver with this cup.
