Huge Congrats & well done to all the Players, their Mgmt. Team and all involved in last Saturday weeks fantastic victory in the Premier Int. Hurling Co. Final v Kilworth in Pr. Uí Rinn. The Team & panel were welcomed back into the Parish around 10:30pm by a huge crowd in Ladysbridge, they listened to Dave Colbert joint Manager speak glowingly about all the players and everyone involved and the effort and commitment that was put in since early January to get over the line, Dave also thanked everyone that helped and supported the group all year, Joint Captains Mark O’Keeffe & Daniel Harrington also spoke about the effort and dedication put in by all the players and the Mgmt. Team all year long a gave an assurance of having a right cut off of the upcoming Munster C/ship., the celebrations continued indoors in the Thatch and moved on after awhile to Finns Tavern in Ballymacoda with both establishments packed to the rafters. All the panel and Mgmt. Team met with all of our young Juvenile players and their parents in the Hall in Ballymacoda at 2pm on Sunday when finished they all moved onto Garryvoe Hotel for a well deserved celebratory meal with the Exec. Comm. of the Club joining them the next port of call was the Cave Bar in the Hotel and then around 8:30pm the group headed to Finns Tavern for more celebrations. On Monday the players met with the elderly of the Parish as in the Na Saoithe group again in the Hall in Ballymacoda and then what was left of them after this stuck for Cork City. So a packed weekend of huge celebrations across the Parish was had by many and as it should be because there is no point in wining if you don’t celebrate. The players resumed training on last Thurs. night and are fully focused on their upcoming 1st rnd. Munster C/ship. Clash v’s the Limerick winners on Sunday the 3rd Nov. at a Limerick venue.

Co. Senior Hurling Final 2019: Imokilly Co. Champions 3 in a row.

Huge congrats and well done to Imokilly on their hard earned win over a robust Glen Rovers Team in last Sundays Co. Final. We had 5 of our lads on the panel with Ger. Millerick, Deccie Dalton and and Mark O’Keeffe all starting and Joe Millerick and Daniel Harrington as valid members of the panel. It is at all times extremely difficult to make history so it is all the more fitting that huge compliments must go to Fergal Condon ( Rasper ) all of his Mgmt. Team and backroom staff that completed the haul of 3 Co. Titles in a row. It was a fantastic end to a great week for our 5 lads especially Ger.

Deccie. Mark and Joe as the 4 of them won their 3rd Senior Hurling Co. Medal and in doing so have bowed out of the Imokilly scene as a result of our victory in the Premier Intermediate Hurling C/ship. which see’s us playing in the Senior ranks next year, With Fergal also stepping down due to his involvement with the Cork Fe 20 Hurlers next year a new Manager will have to be found with very big boots to be filled, the best of luck to Imokilly going forward and many thanks for the last 3 fantastic years of Hurling. The best of luck also to Fergal in his new role with Cork it is well deserved.
